Ok I'm gonna create/sticky this thread since I'm too lazy to hunt/post instructions for it every time it's needed lol
Remote Support
With TeamViewer you can remotely control any computer as if you were sitting right in front of it - even through firewalls.
Your partner just has to start a little application which does not even require an installation or administrative rights.
For live technical support, (when requested), download TeamViewer from: http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx
And PM me the 9 digit code + access code. Do not post it here.

If you have a problem with your computer and you'd rather someone else fix it for you while you sit and watch them do it. My company uses this and it's just weird to see the mouse moving around clicking on things while you just watch...but it sure is handy. I also wonder how long they watch you without you knowing it too...hmmmm. Does the connection stay open, can they access your computer whenever they want after the first time? I *am not* paranoid! I just think *maybe* I am being watched at all times by computer faeries.... *unsure*
This is used when you have a portal problem that you can't explain well enough for Dmitri to give you directions or he just needs to watch it do whatever it's doing. The code being referenced to is the one that is mailed to you when you send a bug report to the super special neomallers mail address...what is that address again?

Haha. I have used something like this before. Once you disconnect, they shouldn't be able to access your computer unless you authorize it.

We just started using Teamviewer at work, since RealVNC has no Windows 7 support :(

teamviewer is definitely an advantage, i can control my computer in the office from home - thats working from home
haha, but anyway, with this application, we can perform "afk" tasks on a separate computer and not cause one single computer to be lag
