Maybe. definitely not by tommorow's mini update but in the final yeah. That search thing is probably the web's most crappiest search thing ever. I dont know what i was thinking when i coded that piece of *dung* *lol* ----------------------------- Contrary to popular belief, the Irish and I are not married

-That search thing is probably the web's most crappiest search thing ever. I dont know what i was thinking when i coded that piece of - That's why I keep bugging for source code, not to make fun of it, but to add in whatever I wanted after you stopped updating it, just being selfish is all :) I'm sure I can come up with more ideas too, I'll just have to restock a bit and pay attention! One behavior that may be changed already, but if it's not, maybe you can look at it: When you're in filtered mode and highlight an item, and then type an item name in the search box at the top, when you update that item you just TYPED in, it removes the selected item from the list box (because it's still selected, even though it's not the current item being updated). This MAY only be in 'out of stock' mode, and it's treating it as if you are removing it from the 'watch list', but I haven't paid enough attention to it to be precise right now.

I've posted about this before, and it's the only thing I want and I would love it so so so so much... I can't read the damn font. lol sorry but seriously. It's tiny, and the contrast is extremely low (light grey text on dark grey background?) Maybe like a theme thing? Or just an option to up the font size? Or up the contrast (white text or something)? The biggest problem area for me is the item list in Manage Stock. It's the only reason I'm eagerly awaiting the web version so I can just ctrl+ that thing. XD edit: Oh, I also keep having to check the "I'm lazy" checkbox. I don't know how many other people use it, but you could make it checked by default maybe, or have an option for that... I don't know.

the lazy thing i could do but i cant do anything about the font since it's already set to windows standards and anything bigger will cause it to disrupt the layout and require a complete overhaul of the application itself. ----------------------------- Contrary to popular belief, the Irish and I are not married

Not even change the colours around a bit to make it have more contrast? Just the item list in Manage Stock would already do a LOT for me. Like, change the text in that listbox from light grey to a more white colour? If that's possible. I now have Windows font setting set to 125% specifically to see NM portal better, I'm not even kidding, and it screws the entire layout up (I kind of have to guess where to click, because the buttons are all off :-P) but at least I can actually read it without getting head aches. Have some compassion for the people with astigmatism please! XD

It's definitely better. I'm still having some troubles in filtered mode but it's an improvement for sure.

Ooh ooh, I haevn't tried, but can Portal run in an arbitrary directory? From your tiny code sample yesterday I'm guessing it probably can! That would teach me that my 'back up my database to a USB key to use between 2 machines' was actually more effort than I needed, and I could just have put the program on the USB key and run it from there *lol* Yay for non-totally-highlighting-comments fields! I use that a lot to record how many of an item I have kept in my SDB, as well as a few other things too, I make quite a bit of use of the comments field and the search related to it!
