5tar - ( I need your advice PLEASE) Which name rings a bell better?
Hello everyone I'm setting up a small business for my wife which is selling books. We are trying to come up with a name for the business. Which one rings a bell the best? Bookworld Bookplanet Bookland any other suggestion? We need feedback please :P Thanks in advance :*

Johno, try and choose a name that doesn't already exist, particularly in the country that you live in. If the business takes off, you don't want to have to change the name if it already belongs to someone else. How are you and your wife selling the books, i presume online? Maybe incorporate that into the name. Or another choice is to call it something she likes, or a place name like One Tree Hill Books or Sarah's Books or ...

It can not be stereotypical. this feels like choosing a title for a award winning novel or movie. Also obviously you must be comfortable with it. I actually like the idea S&J Books. :D I will also think about this over dinner. Good Luck

Thank you Bats + Raquza for the advise! Yes we plan on selling the books on New Zealand biggest auction site called ' Trademe ' Exactly like Ebay but it's a famous/known site in NZ. If i recall prob Trademe is the 2nd most viewed site in NZ after google. I like S&J Books but the username cannot have any spaces so it would have to be S&JBooks, ( which doesn't look tidy? )

What about Bargain Books ;) Hi I love playing neopets but most of all I love to restock my shop, which I do around 7 to 9 times per day as I sell many items. I have 26 Pages of Items 4 Sale in my shop so why not take a look you never know what Bargains you may find.

So maybe go for a one word store name and since it is online we can make it as catchy as possible ;)

I still haven't had the coffee, and i will look back in later, but how about Bookworms? Having been in sales for nearly half of my life (i too work from home) it needs to be catchy enough, but without being the same as anyone else's. There was someone here a long time ago, that did that, and they were forced out of business because their name was very similar to a well known company (selling the same products).

hehe Bats :P Well yes the name has to be unique you're right :o I'm afraid bookworms doesn't stand out because it's such a popular company name?
