So neomallers.com was down for me all day today
But it apparently isnt. everybody here is accessing it fine and my sales (mall banners are hosted on neomallers) are perfectly fine. I'm currently accessing it via a proxy. I wonder what the heck is going on since i cant get in through any of the computers. Ohh and there's a complaint in my inbox saying neomallers portal formatted their entire hard drive or something. what a day

If you are here Dmitri, do you know what this is? Sometimes when I refresh a page it goes to this http://search.freecause.com/search?fr=freecause&ourmark=3&type=60459&p=search.freecause.com and that is a search engine which says this, for one of the 'results' search.freecause.com Your query looks similar to automated request from a virus or other malicious software. We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so please try again soon. ... search.freecause.com bahhh...what did I do???

That sounds fishy. have you recently installed any "search" toolbars? Sounds like what a spyware might do =/ And yeah i still cant connect to neomallers.com directly (without connecting through a different server in the U.S.) funny thing is, i cant even do a trace route check on it. Usually, when i do it, it shows the connection first being made to my DSL modem, then to my internet provider, and then to a server in Montreal Canada, and then hops over to New York city. - the tracert command fails at my DSL modem which doesnt make sense at all. I hopped onto a neighbor's wireless internet connection, and it's the same thing, though they use the same internet providers. (so it could be my internet provider)

When I downloaded something from facebook, it downloaded the 'Ask toolbar' automatically.. hmph. I do not have anything on this computer, lol.. like any protectors or whatnot..my uncle re did this computer, and I just left it be and played my neopets, innocently of course.. and now this happens...and it has been happening a lot today, and my computer has been acting iffy.

Yeah it's probably the ask toolbar. whenever you install something (usually something that is free), there's usually a small checkbox that says 'I agree to install this toolbar that comes with it" and it's checked by default. Usually toolbars are annoying and useless
-hands laptop- fix it. =D Please and thank you, of course!
If you get TeamViewer (google it), I actually might be able to fix it. It allows authorized users to temporaily take control of a computer to do whatever that's basic. Any attempts to do advance stuff (like install a program, and it would require the host's permission)

haha yeah. I had someone viewing my screen and then completely forgot about it so while I was restocking, they watched me fail miserably :P You can also try installing SuperAntiSpyware and see if that helps. (or go to control panel -> add remove programs -> select that toolbar, and uninstall it) With a bit of luck, you might be able to get rid of it with ease :P
