300m should be fairly easy in 3 year period especially when combined with restocking from the neopets main shops. I currently make about 170m a year with my current stock/rate and im sure there are those who do better so yeah, possible.
But you also have a huge shop with a lot of capital to work with. I guess I am looking for a formula that will tell me how many upgrades, sales, etc. I need to get to X point. Right now I re-evaluate my category, mall, etc. daily and think I would do better if I had a plan. I had a plan to get to this size and in a mall and that was motivation on days when I needed it. I know about upgrading to market size but beyond the feature in portal that tells me how many neopoints that is what can you tell me about how many neopoints I should have in addition to that to stock, Ads, etc? _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

The Shopkeeper says 'Welcome!' Items Stocked : 3651 · Free Space : 2759 Well i'm only using the resources of a size 700 shop and many of the cheap items have like 50 + items in stock. As for restocking, if i put my mind to it, i usually earn between 200k to 2m a day, depending on luck and other factors. And to restock in magic/wearables, you just need a high speed internet connection + any computer within the last 5 or 6 years, and 200-400k pure NP

1.) How many 4 mil. NB ad's should a person participate in? Depends-I haven't seen a dramatic improvement in sales in the last few weeks, but have seen a lot of traffic. Hopefully a few people will come back and actually shop. I've never heard of the NP to NB ad ratio 2.) How much backup NP's should a person have in the till when at the main market level? Depends-you want to have more NP if you RS expensive items like PB, potion, battledome than if you do packrat. ( a few years ago the bank was down for a few days so having cash on hand was nice then) Also, you need more NPs for auctions. 3.) Can you ever have too many pages of inventory? Some people hate large shops-especially shops that have 3 or 4 categories. And if they don't have "quick links" to later pages. People don't seem to mind as much if all your items are from the one category they are looking for.

Yeah my shop value used to be between 55 and 65 mil and is currently at 9 :P LOL Oh shoot you are really getting ahead on this stocking thing Dmitri! Mimi i'd definately encourage you to try rsing in some high profit shops, just one restock can make such a difference to your account worth. For example i'd have never managed my last upgrade if I hadn't restocked a 40 mil item earlier this year

I can stock anything in my shop so I can RS at any shop. Any ideas on shops that aren't impossible for a slow person? I hardly get anything in Neopian Petpets, Books, Food, Cards, Magic Shop but have done well at the Coffee Shop, Backgrounds, Uni's (sometimes) -- Grooming & Plushies hardly stock anything worth buying in my opinion. Booktastic has some great items too and isn't too crowded... open for suggestions on high profit items/low competition RS shop (arent' we all looking for that?! LOL!) _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

What you can rs in backgrounds but not petpets? :O I find backgrounds insanely overcrowded and often end up shouting at my laptop before storming off to another shop. Meanwhile when I rs in petpet shops I usually have most of them open, so usually around 12 tabs and have had no problems. The shop I got a decent item in was royal potionery, it's boring stuff though, sometimes nothing stocks for hours, yawnsome stuff. When I rs in there I usually have shops like magic and clothes open to help keep me awake. I'd say just experiment around and see where you like. I know many people stick to the same one or two shops. I've always been a shop hopper though and know many well, stops me getting bored, they all have their pluses and minuses.

I get so bored and frustrated. I only rs on 1/2 price day from shops but that is probably the worst time to do it, eh? Also now that school has started again it shouldn't be as crowded theoretically, right? I think I do well in backgrounds because I refresh at the right time... it must be that. Petpets -- I have never even seen a restock, LOL! There are only cobralls and spyders left when I refresh so I know I just missed one.... rrrrada! _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

I believe the neopian shops restock after an algorithm measuring the number of pageloads in that specific shop. In other words, I think they stock more frequently the more people are rsing in them. If this theory is right, it means rsing during calmer times of the day increases your chances of getting an item, but decreases your chances of seeing a restock in the first place. Obviously there's no way to prove or disprove this idea; it's just something I've noticed when rsing myself :) ___________ Chris, aka wushu_soldier Sniper, maller, reseller Background shop of X-Mart Neomallers graphics designer

Yeah I rarely rs on half price day as I just get pissed off 0:-) got the odd decent item but bleh! I vary my shops on my mood, and what I want. I'm tight, if I want something I try to rs it rather than buy it. Recently i've been in magic because I want a draik MP to gift someone for christmas. Meri petpet because I need them for my gallery and also backgrounds because I need more for my closet. If you ever want help with a particular shop feel free to contact me (I don't bite) I'm no amazing rser, but I do decently. My problem is I like to screw up r99 petpets. I've mishaggled a hasee, mishaggled a chan, overtabbed a zebie, overtabbed a krawk... yeah i'm crap. Meanwhile i've got a few decent restocks under my belt which I call luck :P rsed a LEV, couple of MPs, a fair few r99 and r98 petpets (yes I managed to not screw up some r99 petpets afterall haha, namely cadro (sold for 6 mil at the time :O) zebie (think i've had two of them), a cute r98 meepit. I find a good mix of shops is good though, and to work out what you can manage. If i'm in crowded shops I rs in no more than 3 at a time. If i'm in quiet ones like petpets I feel perfectly comfy with 12 tabs open.

1.) How many 4 mil. NB ad's should a person participate in? A? I have also never heard that 1 ad/million of sales... Some people make less than that and still benefit from being in an ad, whereas some people sell upwards of 10m per week, and 10 ads would surely be overkill. I personally participate in just 1 or 2. 2.) How much backup NP's should a person have in the till when at the main market level? A? I would suggest just keeping enough pure aside to restock, and to upgrade your shop when necessary. Anymore than that isn't really necessary, although I guess it depends on what you like to do on Neo.. 3.) Can you ever have to many pages of inventory? A? From my experience, having 20+ pages of stock can often hurt your sales. My suggestion would be to use the Portal to identify which items seem to never sell, and take them out. That way you're left with x pages of stock filled with *only* popular items. If done correctly, it can be really awesome. 4.)Is there any reason to upgrade other than hut position after you make it to main market when you really can't afford to fill all of your spots and don't have the time to restock your shop fully? A? After a certain point, it really is all about hut position. It's never really about taking full advantage of all the space you've accumulated. Trying to fill 6000+ spaces in your shop would be just awful lol... Spending 100m or so on a large upgrade to reach one of the upper huts that are apparently really 'good' may seem silly... But if you're in a good mall, with other people who are doing the same alongside you, the benefits multiply and suddenly it makes sense. 6.) Is it possible to get 300 Million neopoints within a three year period? Absolutely, if you're lucky and partially insane you can make 300m in one year or less :p It just takes lots of focus!
