I heard that it can be from sort of salt imbalance. Seek epsom salts or sea salts (not table salt) through the skin or orally. Also, eating less sodium from processed foods may help as well (most canned, fast, pre-made or frozen foods have salt added. Sounds like two different things, but sea salt actaully has minerals your body needs! Table salt causes edema.

Drink a cup of coffee as heat works to soothe muscles and the cafeine is a vasodilator -- relaxes smooth muscle (Excedrin has caffeine in it) then shower with Very warm water then a blast of cold (keep going back and forth) and then lie down in a very dark room and try to take a nap. If it keeps on or you can't sleep or vomit you may want to call/see your doctor because it could be something more and if not there is a great medicine for migraines :) FEEL BETTER SOON! _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

I find some hot rice with as much ground cayenne pepper as I can stand to consume relieves the pain for a bit (I throw some other seasoning in too), hopefully long enough for meds to kick in if they help. Other than that I don't know, other than time. I'm very tempted to try the drill suggestion.

A true migraine wouldn't allow you on the computer - as you are so adverse to light that you vomit. So, I won't recommend seeing a doctor unless this is chronic. It's probably a really, really bad lingering headache. Take some tylenol, drink a good bit of water, and sleep it off. Destresss... :)

Talk to your doctor and see if you can be prescribed Imitrex, I have stress-related migraines all the time. One Imitex pill and believe me, it has better effects than smoking a full pound of the sticky stuff.

I've been suffering with migraines about the last 6 years and with some of them I have been on the laptop, not for very long mind due as it increases the pain insanely, but it's never made me vomit. As for cures, none exist exactly, all you can do is ease it. I used to take something called migraleve for mine, good stuff b) You should try and work out what triggers your migraines, if you can do that you can prevent yourself from having them as often. For example mine are usually caused by a combination of lack of sleep, stress, chocolate and cheese. I find if I crave both chocolate and cheese that i'm going to have a migraine, odd I know :P But yeah, just learn about your own body and from there you can have some sort of level of control of them. ___________ Kirsty, aka evil super mod Sniper, maller, restocker Silverdragon siggy stealer Best wearables shop owner ever!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read my post :D I gotta say i DONT DONT DONT AGREE WITH THIS. ********************************************************************************** A true migraine wouldn't allow you on the computer - as you are so adverse to light that you vomit. So, I won't recommend seeing a doctor unless this is chronic. It's probably a really, really bad lingering headache. Take some tylenol, drink a good bit of water, and sleep it off. Destresss... happy *********************************************************************************** I DONT AGREE WITH THE ABOVE STATEMENT AT ALL I have suffered with MIGRAINES for years, but just because I have a migraine doesnt mean I can just leave my job and go home to bed. Sure Migraines often make you vomit. I dont know about other people but as soon as I feel one coming on I try and take pain killers or use a nasal spray (even though it cost an arm and a leg like $50 a shot) but when you have such a BAD MIGRAINE if you can afford the price of the nasal spray its worth it. Sometimes nothing and I mean nothing works except rest rest and even more rest. There are soooo many things that can bring on a Migraine. So I know what my dr has told me and NO IT'S NOT A LINGERING HEADACHE Sorry but I hate people trying to tell me that it maybe just a headache when I know its more than that. THE END.

Mm, I've never had a migraine, but I know they're much worse than a headache... the first time my best friend had a migraine, it was so much stronger than a headache that her parents took her to the ER. Sounded quite terrifying, really. ------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~ Come visit my map shop ~~
