I write music, and a few of my songs I've used Audacity to record from MIDI files which I write them in using the program Anvil Studio, then I save them under their title back to my hard drive as MP3's. Today when playing them in Windows Media Player, I noticed that they had my name by them: It said "Amid the Desert Stars- David M" and so I looked into the file information and it had given me a genre of jazz, which actually does fit the song, and put in my name and told me I was track 1 of my album "My Music" and stuff, and that I was the artist with my first name and last initial in there. How did it...
Know my name
Assume the album information
and know the Genre?
I looked on another piece that I had written in minor and recorded the same way, no knowledge of inputting information into it besides the title, and it gave me a Blues genre and all the same information.
How does it do this?

Lol I messed up with that phrase in the first sentence.
I write music in MIDI format with Anvil Stuido, then record it as an MP3 with Audacity. Hope that clears it up a little.

Know my name
When you install Windows, it asks you for your name. I can do the same thing with NeoMallers Portal and have it say "Welcome, NAME" but havent done so in case people get freaked
Assume the album information
Did you save it in the My Music Folder? If so, it probably defaulted to that folder name
and know the Genre?
it analyzes the spectrum for beats, the intensity, stuff like that and categorizes it

Woah that's really cool! Thanks Dmitri.
Yeah, I would have asked about creepy name stuff earlier if you had done that.

Yeah it is pretty nifty. If you right click the song and then choose advanced tag editor you can give it all sorts of information there too.
