Main Market jump
Hi guys! I was trying to save up around 22 millions and make the jump from 394 to 500~ or something, to reach Main Market... But I was thinking it's not a smart move to do it all at once, cause that makes me need to stock all those items at once too... So I was thinking on putting my 4 million now to upgrade, that'll put me above size 440 and I'll be able to stock those spots "sometime soon" and only then start upgrading again... What do you think? 1. All at once 2. Upgrading bit by bit

I would fully stock my shop now, then upgrade with a million or 2, fully stock..etc. Since 440 is nowhere near MM, if you think about it NP wise. MM is 609 or such now? Then use profits from a stocked shop to keep upgrading when possible. =) Though I may sell some items and make a leap, but only if my shop is stocked. Cannot make much on a semi empty shop :}

I was at 350 and I jumped to 500, then 3 days later I went to 606. I spent all my pure going to 500 and then I had to sell my items, stocks etc. to get to main. I didn't have enough to buy more stock at that moment but the money I saved thereafter went straight into stocking my shop, now it's full =( ------------------------------- See my new screenie petpage? I'm in the same boat as you. Size 434. I will be doing it bit by bit. Sales drop like a rock by the end of January and so do profits for me. And then there would be the 1000 empty spots to fill with stock and no np to do it with:( http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=atlantissix

Honestly, from what i've heard of MM... You should just make the jump. You get more hits there. Use the money you get from your extra hits to buy your new stock. I wouldn't recommend selling your stock to get there though...

To upgrade from size 343 to 405, it will cost: 4,631,400 NP. To upgrade one more size, it will cost you another 81,000 NP. -- that'd be all my nps :/ and 405 too xDD

Hey, Maya. I'm at the same place right now. I am at size 460 and saving for main. I'm about 5 million away. So close yet so far. How full is your shop currently? If it's completely full, and you still have items in your SDB to stock, then I would upgrade a little to make sure your shop is as full as possible. My shop has hovered at 150 free spaces the past few weeks simply because I did not want to restock. But over the last two days I've added about 100 unique items and my shop is fully stocked, with lots of extras waiting in my SDB. I think jumping straight to main is good only if you have the nps to stock your shop well once you get there. Competition is tight when you reach the bottom of main, and successful malling is a combo of teamwork with your mall members, your hut position and how well you are stocked. Plus, I can't justify paying for empty space. I feel like my nps are better spent in investing in my stock which can then be used to increase my shop size. Good luck to you! We'll get there!

Im' just worried cause I won't have enough for MM until.. well, at least 2 months from now, even if I sell my stocks and such.. Cause I won't sell gallery items or BD set since I got those cheap back then and they only inflate (like YB, I got as plot prize and some gallery items I got from friends with a discount)... But I'm not sure it matters, since everyone says jan/feb are slow months for sales, so I prolly should only worry to get me into MM until... MAy/June? For the northern summer, I think

Im not sure what the obsession is with mini mallers and the need to fill every spot in their shop. Does it come from the fact that when your shop was even smaller it was important to use every space you had? Id seriously just say take the leap and head to main. As someone else said, dont sell of stock in order to do it. However really dont worry about having every spot in your shop full. Edit - and to add further yeah try to get there for around March time as an ideal as thats when things really start to pick up again. ___________ Kirsty, aka evil super mod Sniper, maller, restocker Silverdragon siggy stealer Best wearables shop owner ever!

~ May ~ I think the obsession is cause when you are smaller all spaces do count and upgrading is, basically, having more space, since huts and such don't really matter much... But, hum, thanks, I think I'll work to upgrade all the way by march :D
