@ Franklinnc1980: If you didn't have your email pinned too (that they couldn't change your email without using the pin) then they can change your email to get your pin. I have everything pinned, even parts of the site that I don't use - I still have it pinned. Also, is anyone else in agreement that they should require changing your lookup to be both password AND pinned? Because you can also change your password there.
I did have everything pinned. Someone said it might not have been a CGer last time it happened because they got my pin. My husband is a programmer, and explained it all to me, but I get bored quickly when people aren't speaking a language I understand well. The bottom line is I used all protections afforded to accounts, and the person still got into two accounts and pounded pets and took stuff. He/She even pretended to be me on the boards before they froze the account (even though I sent a bunch of reports for different things from my side account trying to get TNT to freeze my main) and they tried to scam my friends into lending expensive items. Perpette (Thanks, Steph) noticed and told everyone I was not in possession of my account and reported and they finally froze it. Bottom line, if someone is in your account, it's much better to just let them freeze it, prove it's yours, and wait. I also agree about the lookup. I was logged out while restocking, so I immediately tried to get back in, found my password didn't work, thought quickly enough to get my password sent, and got back in using the hacker's new word. I tried to change everything back, but before I could confirm the email being changed BACK TO ME, because it needed a confirm mail, the hacker won. He got everything changed and it logged me back out. So, even if you catch it quickly and get the new word sent to you before the idiot changes the email account, you still have to wait several minutes for that confirm email. Bah.

I'm sorry you were all frozen, I hope you all get everything back soon! :) I don't think Firefox is much safer than any other browser without the ad ons. :( You may want to install them to try to prevent anything like this from happening again. Masterpeas is on the hacker's account. He's a frozen pea now. The other pet he pounded from my side was an UC Grey Aisha. That account is frozen now too. So, no, sadly, I wasn't.
Yes it says for my protection. Something along the lines of fake login or CG... No I did not have any of the add ones wonder if that would have made a difference. I thought with firefox and with our Norton 360 we should have been safe. Maybe someone else could answer that???
Norton 360 is a disk/operating system utility right? Anyways even if it was an internet security application, it wont protect you against CGs since that's a javascript exploit that often uses a trusted resource belonging to neopets.com. Aka an error in their coding
BBB should be your last resort. Apparently it pisses them off so that you are more likely to get frozen again at the slightest infraction.[/quote I suppose that is something to be considered. I've been fine though, but mine was genuinely a last resort. I'd been trying for about 4 months before that... They probably got the hash key for your husbands account and cracked it.

The only thing is when I have that I can not get into my college lab even when I got it white-listed. Now if I had it and disabled just when I got to log into that area will that still make me vulnerable when I do not have it on but not in neopets?
