I am a bit stuck on the Pro and Con section of Malling 101.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Pros: teamwork, great if you're going into a marketing major, generally more profit, and of course you meet a lot of new people
Cons: Sometimes strict rules, requires some "activeness", less freedom

armanidadras that is a great suggestion of a con, I will add that
Pros of being in a mall(in no particular order):
1) More shop hits and therefore more sales and hopefully more profit for you
2) You develop friendship (and sometimes a much deeper one) relationships with your mall members
3) Get freebies like cute banners, special codings for your shop, etc.
4) Your shop is more organized because you are only stocking your designated shop category.
5) You'll "meet" more new people through your mall members and they can help bump your boards, give you advice, recommend websites like these, etc.
6) You can get more shop hits from people who have quit your mall or who have become inactive because they still have the mall banner in their shop
7) Less stress for you if you are not the mall owner because all you do is update your mall code & keep your shop stocked
Cons:
*Opposite of what I have stated above.
