What backup program do you use?
Yeah need some help. Currently, I'm running Windows XP and whenever i need to backup, i boot into windows 7 to zip up the entire C Drive (about 6 gigs) For files that are more frequently updated (such as those in the my documents folder), i run a program called EZbackitup to literally sync the files. However, I'm debating on switching completely to windows 7 but since windows 7 is like... 20 gigs... my method isnt gonna work too good :P Plus if the operating system fails, i have nothing to go back to in order to run the restore command. Just wondering what you guys all do. (or if you live wild and dont backup, etc)

Yeah, I turn the computer on...leave it on til it slows to heck...do a CCleaner, delete cookies, restart, and repeat every week or so =) So back up? I would just come here and cry for awhile..unless I spot a good idea here. But I have no idea how you are switching operating systems to back up stuff, that sounds confusing *lol*

Yeah I cant backup my windows xp files while i'm in it so i gotta get out. It's sorta like trying to mess with the tree branch you are sitting on. Windows wont let you do that in case you do happen to cut it off or something *unsure* Plus windows 7 has great battery life (which i use on campus) but XP is faster (i think) though recently, I think 7 might be faster for my use (graphics) I'm playing with my mall banner again and so far, cant tell much of a difference --------------------------------- Get a SuAP

(i.e. i'm beginning to question if having two operating systems on this laptop is worth it) Initial reasons was: I didnt want to bog windows 7 with all kinds of programs... but turns out, i dont really install much.. except: Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium 4 Microsoft Office 2010 Visual Studio 6 (for programming the portal) Blizzard Games (again, doesnt affect the O.S. too much in terms of resources) a bunch of portableApps (msn, skype, opera) that dont affect the operating system and other small tools like DVD Decrypter --------------------------------- Get a SuAP

I dont back stuff up either, but I would die if I lost it all :P Im planning on asking for an external hard drive for my birthday, let it do synch backups every night. Sounds easier than 2 OS's lol
Training Supplies, Meds, Neggs & Luck!!! www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=_jaspeh_&misc 4mil Independent Ads http://www.neopets.com/~SicalliaRomeo

Yeah but I'm picky and want to be able to backup programs since it does take a while but i guess it might not be that bad And i have two OSes to make use of the best of each world. Though I'm currently trying to overload windows 7 but seems to keeping up to shape (Vista would die miserably) As for external HD's... *pokes screenshot* Both are half full *lol* And your OS clogs down with each program that you install that runs in the background (Antivirus, firewalls, etc) But things like games, it will not since it sits dormant until you open it --------------------------------- Get a SuAP
