Globe At Night
Well this is interesting. "Globe At Night" is a project trying to figure out amounts of light pollution around the world. http://www.globeatnight.org/index.html What you do is you find the Orion constellation and then report how many stars you see of it, and your Lat/Lon. My school is telling us to do it, so it's most likely legit. So according to the site, what magnitude of light is in your area? I have a 3.

ooh looking at constellations is fun.. I only know of two though, Orion and big dipper. It has a really calming effect when you look up at the night sky. I'll try to do this tomorrow night haha

Yeah, It's really nice when you can lie somewhere where nothing is in sight, not trees or houses or towers in your peripheral vision as you look up. --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.

Might be good if we could see Orion.. Not in the Southern Skies at the moment. We have Scorpio in our skies and I think (correct me if I am wrong here) Greek mythology states that the 2 constellations were banned to opposite sides of the skies because they had a fight or something like that

I'm not sure about it being Greek mythology, but I do recall something about Scorpio and another constellation getting in a fight. --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.
