Hey I recently got into actively running a shop (currently size 75) selling plushies exclusively. I try to keep my shop completely filled with a variety of cheap plushies to ones running in the 20k+ range. I have a few questions regarding what i should do next. 1. Will increasing shop size improve sales? (and how much do i need to upgrade) 2. When should i start carrying very expensive stock? (i sometimes see good deals on rare plushies but afraid they wont sell) 3. I am part of a mall but that doesn't seem to improve my sales much, is that normal? Any advice you pros can give will be appreciated! Thanks
1. For your shop size, NO. But what you are aiming for is the larger shop capacity and you want to use it to its fullest -- that is, by RSing, or by wiz pricing but make sure you have profit. If you are increasing your size up to Island Marketplace, it MAY improve but you won;t jump up and down since there will only be a VERY small change in sales. Everything still relies on how you work out your shop. It's actually the same with Main Marketplace. Unless you have a REALLY good mall, sales will still rely on how you tend to your shop. 2. For the plushies category, I dont really know but I do not recommend doing so. For me, plushies are HTS especially the expensive ones and your NP will be "stuck in your stock" 3. For your size, yes that's normal. Malls are effective ONLY when Main Marketplace IMO. _______________________________________________ Bugsy's GUIDE to Effective SHOPKEEPING and MALLING: Version 3: Learn More About Hut Positioning http://www.neopets.com/~bugsy_lenny

I am new to malling, but I think with smaller malls, which I am in, although I do get some more customers, it also has the benefit of motivating you to achieve more with your shop in a friendly helpful environment. Certainly being in a well known mall would increase your sales as well as their NB ads. Smaller malls can't afford to put larger ads either, because the members are not as wealthy, because their shop sizes are much smaller and are still in the growing process.

Believe it or not I sell tons of instruments because the pet can play with them and they change his mood just like plushies and toys, do not forget Usukis which there is a HUGE market for even bigger then Plushies but I am not a huge fan so I do not carry alot of them, which is stupid from a sales perspective but smart because they lower my Rsing experiance which is one of my favorite things to do on Neo so you have to do what makes your experiance the best, and not a one of us can decide that for you. I hope this helps and makes sense. Hugs Suz
I chose to limit myself to plushies because i personally think it looks better. I would stock instruments but i can't find any reason why anyone would buy it. What's the market for toys and such?
--------------------- Best Priced Malls Toys, Plushies, Usuki's, Paintbrush's, Job Coupons, & Morphing Potions http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=suzierainbow
