So I'm thinking of opening up a small Food Mall/Food Court*?
I guess it'd be called a Food Court? But eh, I know food openings are taken up rather quickly; & they're quite efficient. There's numerous branches in food, (gross, bakery, drinks, faerie, tyranian, etc.) I mean, it just sounds like a good idea. Ofcourse all the shops would have to be relatively small, buttttttttt; it's a thought to consider. Anyone think it will work?

I think its a good idea yes it has some down falls, but if you could get each shop to specialize in one thing of food you may do very well. I would like to be able to come to one mall and get all I need. And you will never know untell you try so good luck *clap*

What are you assuming as relativly small? Like 20 small or 100 small or low-main-market small (Because if you consider that small (size 600+), then there's something wrong with your relativity *lol*) -------- I like cheese.

I can see it working but you'll need to outline what is considered what type of food for each category since the line can go back and forth depending on someones thinking. But when it comes to size I wouldn't go too small, you still want people that are in some hut and you want people that are still going to want to grow in size because even though you're branching out with different types of food there is enough in each category. Plus the larger your mall, especially when main market, the better views you tend to get. You need space for variety as well as quantity so you aren't running out of items and you aren't restocking 24/7 http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=evilbluemunkeyz

I think that's a pretty innovative idea and can see it being successful because of its originality. Food is a huge category that can be easily split up nicely and I think people will have fun shopping there. You could even do fun categories like "food gifts" where you feature foods that are pretty to look at and can pass off as gifts for other users? And seasonal foods, so for summer you could have an ice cream shop and for winter hot chocolate, etc. So I think there are a lot of possibilities. Before you take on something like this, you should figure out exactly how well the food category is doing nowadays though. Are newbies still feeding their pets as much as they used to? How are the profits for food? I've only done it once or twice and have found it pretty great, but that must've been four or five years ago. If you're pretty serious about it, I'm sure experienced food mallers would be happy to give you some insight on their personal experiences. The more knowledge and advice the better! Also, consider whether you want it to be a main market or a non main market mall. I don't have any experience with non main market malls, but there are a few that seem to be doing well? A main market mall of this sort could do really well though, I think. Looks like your shop is below market (from your user info) though, so I don't know... Anyway, best of luck with whatever you decide to do!

Oh, and you should DEFINITELY call it The Food Court - that'd be awesome :).

Haha, thanks everyone(: Yeah, I drew up templates for the food categories. There's quite a few of them. When I said relatively small, I ment 20-100 small. Having a 600 filled with nothing but faerie foods would just be tedious. How ever, I dont think I have the experience to try this out quite yet. D; Anywaysssssss, thanks again. ;D

I really enjoy adding humor to nearly everything I do. Though 20 I think would be a bit small to hold up except the smallest categories, Food in itself can be split into categories in a Main Market Mall with little problem, like the size 620+ branch of the nursery malls has a Food/Drinks and a Bakery/sweets selection. A food court could be enormous and have an entire malls worth of shops with that kind of selection, but there would be some larger and smaller categories. Slushies, for instance, could be a plausible category, and it would be a whole lot bigger than if you had a coffee shop... I think... I should probably look up what the actual stock would be before I post, but you get my point, right? -------- I can bike down to Circle K for a slushie and count it for P.E. credit. Summer school is so much better than in-year!

I think it would be a great start for small shops size 50-100 to start out and try malling and with all that food the Foud Court would be an awesome name. Or the Best Tasting Cafeteria. Stock the most expensive items that are high in rarity and have big fluctuations.
