Overprice sales
I noticed people in big malls sell their items quite expensive. Do they make good sales with that? How much do they usually make in a day?
Yep they do. My average is still around 320k profit per day or so
But how typical is that of MM and how much does it depend on category and activity of the mall (hits from other mall members' banner)? Just look at the counters (if you can) of many MM shops. Many (most?) get under 50 hits per day. They would have to average about 6K profit per hit to do that. It just does sound right to me. I know some of the bigger and more active shops make big NP, but what is reasonable to expect for an average MM shop? PS: I do about 200-300K per day, in the summer, about half of that during school, but I spend A LOT of time on my shop. More time than I suspect most players do. I just don't see a lot of overpriced purchases in my category. They mostly just sit around if I do that. - peter

Right now it's like 30-50k probably for the average main market shop, excluding wiz pricing and snipes, etc ----------------------------- Contrary to popular belief, the Irish and I are not married

Meh I get average sales from my shop. I don't overprice too much, so that might be my downfall. (Based on data averaged from 12/06/2010 to 18/06/2010) Items Sold: 46 Sales : 232,572 NP Costs : 168,104 NP Profits : 64,468 NP ( 38.4% ) Petpet Paradise http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=mizleah

If I spent the time to track the cost and selling price of all the items I sell a day (many below 1K), I'd never be able to keep my shop stocked. I'd be spending all my time on bookkeeping. I keep about the same NP value of items in my shop so the I base my net on how much more NP I have in my till at the end of the day (or over several days) vs. how much I started with. I take NP out of my till for purchases. So my net not only includes sales, but any good values I get on items while I'm restocking. I use the SSW almost exclusively for RSing. - peter

It really depends on your category. If you're going to stock food this you'll make much more as opposed to a shop like seasonal. It also depends if you do NB ads, advertise, etc.

I typically make 25%-30% profit of my total sales. That can be from 150k-250k sometimes

Weekly Sales Summary from : 13/06/2010 to 19/06/2010 (7 days) Items sold: 623 Total Sales: 776,045 NP Costs: 507,362 NP Profits: 268,683 NP ( 52.96% ) Daily average for this week: Items sold: 89 Sales : 110,864 NP Costs: 72,480 NP Profits: 38,383 NP ( 52.96% ) I manage 30-45K a day on average (though one day I did make over 200K) I'm not main yet, but I'm also in Food/Drinks. Food/Drinks is a LOT of extra care. If I go a few days without RSing I see my sales drop, because I sell a lot of the cheaper stuff fairly quickly. I also dont mark up too terribly much except on the really low NP items. I make sure I'm always visible in the SSW from the portalpage or just barely above it. --Manic http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=tehubermanic
