I've never seen PB's considered magic items. I've only seen then as a category unto themselves, although they're paired with others like MP's most of the time.
Thanks beholder! I think i'm going to give it a try! I'm tired of petpets :P The hits are not great for me. I do have prices inflated a bit, but the way I look at it, I can't do much worse than I am now :P PB & MP is actually extremely hard to fill. The categories are so small, even with me allowing all members in HRP to stock training items. That's why i'm adding medicine with it. I think that category needs some extra help. I'm at a size 604, going to hit main on August 4th. So maybe I would be ok with seasonal :) Thanks for the input!
That's good. =) You can always switch to something else if it isn't for you. Just remember, summer is our down season; if you switch right away don't expect much to come in until October.
I'm a SAHM and wasn't able to keep up with a Seasonal Shop. In the summer is one thing, but in the fall you have Back to School, Halloween/Fall, Thanksgiving/Fall, Christmas/Winter, quickly followed by Winter/Valentine's Day, then Easter/Spring, and finally Summer. It's a super fun category if you have the time to do it right. I was also managing a multi-branch mall at the time though too...
It's really not that hard. Think of it this way: You don't stock for back to school. (not a holiday or season) October 1st: Autumn and Halloween items. November 1st: Thanksgiving and Autumn. December 1st: Christmas and winter items (a bit of new years too) January 1st: Winter February 1st: Valentines Day and Winter -I skip ST. Patrick's day since it's useless and there aren't many items March 1st: Spring and Easter June: Summer July: (I do an annual Xmas in July sale, your choice though) And back to October. In reality your changing stock about once a month. And for example, when January first comes, all you need to do is remove any Christmas stock and you'll be left with winter. Same with spring and autumn. It's really not as difficult as it looks. Like I mentioned before, as long as you have a couple of days each month free, you'll be fine. -Also, you can make different accounts in Portal for each holiday/season which makes things a whole lot easier.

Only stick with the category if you enjoy it. Neopets is in fact a game, and supposed to be fun, even if some people spend real money on it. Don't it if you're unhappy with it. It does look like you're sticking with seasonal. Good luck, hope the profits fall from the sky (cause that's what I hope for)! Thanks for more input :) Seasonal sounds awesome. I am not in school, so that doesn't matter. I thought I WAS decided on seasonal, but then I remembered how hard I worked on my Petpet Directory, and how organized I am about what items I need for it. I just don't know. Changing my shop that much sounds pretty time-consuming... Ugh. I cannot decide. Another question - how hard was it to fill for a seasonal spot in a mall with shop sizes 300+? I've had a seasonal, general, and faerie shop in Mall of Neopia, but those were harder to fill than PB & MP. Of course, MON's minimum shop size requirement is 100, and that makes a difference...

I would never switch from petpets to seasonal. Maybe back to avatars though. Again, that is not a popular category, but I really enjoyed stocking it. The category you chose should be what you would enjoy stocking. If you're bored with petpets, then switch categories or you'll lose interest all together.
I liked petpets and the profits from them. Don't know why everyone else has a problem with them *unsure*
Yeah I don't get why people think petpets is such a terrible category. What's so bad about it? I do fairly decent with it... Seasonal takes a lot more work too, and is not necessarily profitable with the exception of winter holidays.

Not only is it hard o find someone to take the spot, but it's also hard to find someone to keep it.
