Run-Time Error: '76'
I've tried both the BETA and the Core releases... neither work. Specs: Win 7x64 8GB DDR3 @1066 AMD Phenom x4 @3.2 ect ect The error pops up as soon as I enter my first Profile and click on the accept terms / conditions button. Same exact situation as this post (never answered)... but I didn't want to introduce myself with necrophilia. I can provide screenies if necessary, but I've been pretty thorough with replicating the error message. Also, I am running ZoneAlarm Extreme (with program monitor / firewall exceptions added) AND i've even tried running as administrator, with UAC disabled. Very looking forward to seeing the potential of this program... I'm a Software Engineer by trade, and these sorts of things give me the giggles. Thanks in advance!

SELF FIXED! Here's how I did it: 1. Turn off UAC 2. Reboot 3. Right Click your "portal.exe" 4. Select "Properties" 5. Go to the "Compatibility" Tab 6. Check the "Run in Compatibility Mode For" box 7. Select "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)" 8. Click Apply / OK 9. Right Click on "portal.exe" again 10. Click "Run as administrator" Voila! I should of thought about Compatibility mode before posting the OP, but I hadn't seen that Win7 isn't a supported OS until after I had posted this. Running in compatibility has completely solved this issue for me. Thanks anyways! :P

That is odd. I ran it perfectly under win7 64 bit, core i5 processor. Though i had uac disabled since that thing is annoying :P Glad it's fixed though Eventually I will upgrade the coding platform since the current one is very old. Yeah that does seem odd. Win7 64bit, i7 here and I too have UAC turned off, right after building and installing Win7... I never had any problems with the portal, nor had to do anything with its properties -------------------------------------------------------------- Nubs War Supply: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=whispering_acara&misc Profits from new plot so far: 9.78m
