Neopets lag.
Is anyone else sick of the huge lag on neopets between about 12am NST and 1am NST? That is the time when I am on the most and I can barely do anything!

Everynight (or day, however you see it), at exactly 12am NST the site not just lags, but practically is unloadable. Every once in a while it'll let you navigate for about 20 seconds or so, then another 5 minutes of no load. I dont know what TNT is doing during this, but I just noticed this during one of my 20 seconds of being able to navigate: [quote]You don't have your own shop yet! Select Create/Edit Your Shop from the menu above to open one. It only costs 150 NP!![/quote] So... I wonder if it has something to do with the shops... or if it goes deeper than that

when trying to buy from another shop i had something like [i]"unable to add to market history"[/i] will copy it next time i get it.. this not-existing-shop i get kinda regularly at that time :/

12AM NST is when they take the development site for the day and transfer it over to the live site. That's when daily updates, programming changes, etc. take place. So, while everything is being shuttled from the offline site to the new one is when we see the huge lag. It affects the entire database, so yes, shops are affected at that time too.

Ohhhh! I hate the lag too but it's nice to know I'm not the only one that has it. Lol, when I first saw that shop thing I thought there was a huge error in the server and my profile had been reset or something.

Personally, I think the lag is due to the Habitarium. I don't think their servers can handle the traffic now, so I think they disabled the auto-progression in the game. Before they disabled it, the lag was horrific - two days ago. Some people think its a glitch, but I don't think so. I think TNT disabled the auto-progression two days ago which is why you have to keep manually refreshing the game to progress.
