Classic Portal - Why doesn't updating shop front count sales for items less than 1K?

I want to use the portal to count how many items I've been selling, but any items below 1000 it doesn't count (and those only get counted when I submit the sales history).

Since it updates the stock number, can't there be an option like "if amount for item X is less than previous stock amount, then previous - x = y sold?"

If not, how do most people keep track of what's been selling. I'd like to make use of the "items that have never sold" filter...but it's pointless with hundreds of items that are below 1000K...

This option is already available in the classic portal. I think it's called Shop front sim or something like that
