It depends on the item. Frankly I am far too lazy to have anything in my shop that won't show up in the sales history - so even items I buy for 1np get priced at over 1k. Real cheap stuff (under 5k) I tend to upcharge from between 500np-1k. Anything over than that I look for my regular wiz group and beat the lowest person in that group - UNLESS the lowest person in my regular wiz group is in the bottom 5 on the SSW...then I just buy them out. I get about as many hits from the regular wiz as I get from my mall banner, and I'm still making a profit. I used to carry only wearables/backgrounds (when I wasn't in a mall) and I find I did better then than what I do now. Having the fire/air faerie quest items (especially since they are on the front page for the most part) seems to put off potential buyers. If you are going to continue to carry the non-wearable clothing/grooming items I'd advise ONLY carrying the ones for the faerie quests - the rest of the stuff is just useless clutter and doesn't sell as well. ~~~ bête noire (bet-NWAHR) noun: An object or person that is particularly disliked or that is to be avoided

I price things between 400-1500np above shop wiz. I also noticed that items that end in 98, 11, 01, or 99 sell better haha. -------------------- Want to be part of a 4 Mil NB ad? I use a pretty big markup, around 100-1000% for cheaper items, and 50% or so for items under 10k. After that, I'll usually do ~ 30%. It works good for me and I make a nice profit. ^^ I don't have SSW lol, but I'm still alive. ;D I hear people talking all the time about how amazing SSW is and I'm just like 'ehh.' I'm happy with the regular wiz. :* I try to never price my items using the numbers 9&8 except for in the first digit of the number. That way, when people read the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7&0, they think it's lower than if they read a price w/ 9 or 8 since its just a lower # for the brain to register (i.e. I'll price something at 9,117 vs. 8,995 or 21,005 vs. 20,998) - idk why but I think that's what works for me.

Also as size 177.. there's no way I'd make any sales if I had much markup. Just as I thought, and the counters have proved this, 90% of my overall sales come from the Shop Wiz..

I'm size 337 and more then 85% are my sales are from the shop wizard, so I don't put too much markup either. (Except for < 1000 NP items)

This is a really interesting thread :D I think I may mark some things up a bit and mark some others down and see how they do. -------------------- Want to be part of a 4 Mil NB ad?
I definitely wouldn't be able to mall without it. Though I do do PBs and that's ok, because no one can SSW those.
I'm actually selling furniture and garden items without it right now. It's not too bad since I have a spread sheet:) MSPP lend please?

I don't have Premium and I actually don't want it, so my pricing methods are different :O hahah let's see.. Any item 300np below 1k, I always price at 1k. I usually do a 600-1k markup, or if I have a lot in stock of an item, I do a 300np markup. As for my items that are not cheap (such as most of my Bakery, Candy, and some of the more expensive foods), I price in the top 5 of my alpha section on the SW. I still get good sales by doing that- and some of them are marked up like 5k; someone in one alpha section could be selling at 3k, or the 'going price' would be 3k, but my alpha section's lowest could be like 8100np or something. :D
