Regarding Sales History in Portal
There should be an option where you can manually insert the number items sold, because items under 1,000 NP will not show up in the sales history page, and thus will not transfer to portal.

when you submit your sales history, you can change the name and price of the item, and put it into the database that way, but if you sell, say 50 items under 1k, that would be difficult to do =)
nevermind - I was silly enough to not notice it wasnt saving them when I change it, I will go hide in the corner now.
Awww, it took me a while to notice it wasn't saving the changes I was making too! Great idea/tip on the sales history input page. If you paste your entries into notepad first you keep the formatting that the program will accept. Maybe I could change it in notepad and then paste it into sales history after??? Hmmmm, more experiments! I can't wait to try and see how much profit my shop really makes! ~ Mimi (Please read my Guest Book: Requesting Guide Help) _____________________________________________________ Mimi's Ménagerie: Healthy Tastes Good Here! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons

It seems good... but how will you be able to tell how many of an item sold?

You can keep the items <1k stocked at even numbers like 10, let's say. and then you can check your shop, and see how many of it has sold.

Yeah but what if you restock more and you forgot to make note of it in portal. Or if you decide to take some out
Yeah but what if you restock more and you forgot to make note of it in portal. Or if you decide to take some out
I am pretty regimented about my shop ritual (redundant?) so even though I restock 4x a day I remember to do all the little steps. I generally try not to take anything out (unless space is an issue and I need a few more spots to sell the hot sellers for the day). However, I would put a -X beside the item in notepad for the next time I did my tally as a reminder. Before I knew this didn't work (what I will describe next) I pasted my shop front before restocking, then restocked and pasted again...I thought I was capturing the sales/inventory reduction with the first paste for the less than 1K items. ~ Mimi (Please read my Guest Book: Requesting Guide Help) _____________________________________________________ Mimi's Ménagerie: Healthy Tastes Good Here! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons
