I think this is a personal decision you need to make on your own. While you might feel bad letting people down, you really shouldn't do something on a website you play for fun it you don't enjoy it. =/ We weren't born to follow ♥

Definitely a personal decision... If you don't enjoy it though, are you really going to put your heart into the work? And do you think someone else could put as much effort into something you created as you did? You might find someone that's responsible and understands malling to take over, but they won't put as much heart into it as you do, or did. And ps... Either we have baby birds in our attic, or my ghostie is part pidgeon... I keep hearing these tiny squeaky noises, been hearing them all day, and it's definitely in the attic. It's not a rhythmic sound either, the squeaks, well, squeak at different intervals, which tells me it is not some kind of electrical or other annoying problem with our house.

Or a squirrel, they're bad about getting in attics.

Yes I agree a personal decision but the whole reason to neo is to have fun and if it is not that for you anymore then you have to find another outlet maybe. Malling can become gruesomely overwhelming and aggravating especially if you have alot of flow through shopkeepers. I am really glad that we have a low overturn, usually I loose someone due to real life reasons. But the whole point to our mall is to have fun and remember it is a game and not real life, and that helps that overwhelming feeling when there is a crisis. What about taking on a partner that you trust? I have a supervisor that works with me he handles our graphics and issues when I am disposed (like when my PC was down for 2 weeks) and there is also an owner who can step in and help out to so there are 2 branches and three of us working together. I used to run a guild, but got fed up too and handed it over to someone else a couple of years ago. Really wish I'd kept it on now! By taking on a partner, you'd ease the burden on you and give someone else the chance to learn the ropes with you still around. One thing to consider if you pick a partner, make sure you trust them, that they are able to work with you not for you as they need to take leadership once they learn the ropes. I agree with everyone - you have to do what is best for you but also think about the people in your mall as well. Is the mall going to fail with a leader that doesn't care anymore? Is turnover going to skyrocket because people are seeing this behavior? And are you going to have other people want to join? Without a dedicated leader a mall is destined to fail in my opinion because they are the backbone and everyone else in the supporting features. It's a team effort so think about your team. [center] Yeah, ask some of your best mallers if they'd be willing to help out with the mall, maybe. Thats where I always get additional staffers. I've never found anyone willing to take over for me (people pretty much have to be forced into that usually, kind of like I was :O).
