It's not just kids that may have an issue with it though. This thread proves that. There are obviously people here that it bothers so why do it? It's just common courtesy really. There's plenty of other words that can be used instead. Like... noodles?
I'm a big fan of "crumb". And also "crimminy". :P ------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~ Come visit my map shop ~~
What about muffins? & I agree with "There are obviously people here that it bothers so why do it? It's just common courtesy" Thanks.
I've never really understood that concept. I'm sure there are people that it bothers to have to censor themselves, so isn't it common courtesy as well to not ask them to? Personally, I dont care either way, and though i do swear (probably a bit too frequently) in real life, it rarely finds its way across my keyboard. --Manic http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=tehubermanic

I don't swear in front of my parents, and if I'm talking to someone I'll wait till they swear first before I do. I still don't swear out loud much at all, mainly to myself just when I'm mad.

Lol one of my favorite "cover ups" I've heard is "Holy Cheese Nips!" --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.

And I wouldn't consider damn a bad word. This topic was talking about the f-word for the most part.

Neomallers is an off-site forum I guess, and people should be able to handle PG-13 at least. Like someone said before, it is a cultural thing. :) & I try my best not to swear, because I firmly believe swearing is for people who have limited vocabularies or are unintelligent because, by swearing, it's basically like you're saying that you don't have the vocabulary to come up with a better word.

I guess that the 3.82 GPA and the lessons in French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Russian only go so far. I suppose me and my f'n gd self will go hibernate with all the other rednecks. /drips with sarcasm Chad's Bakery http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=desperately_yours

My boyfriend swears all the time and he's one of the smartest people I know. And he definitely has a huge vocab. And someone else I know has their masters in ENGLISH and he knows other languages too and swears like a sailor. Swearing has nothing to do with unintelligence or limited vocabularies in the very least.

The American school system is a joke, I'm sorry, but I'm in high school and I've managed straight A+s in nearly every subject so far and I spend maybe an hour or less a day on homework. I know smart people swear, but they aren't using the f-bomb like it's an adjective or something. Basically, grades don't matter.
