I knew some people first hand who had 5 main market shops. Of course at the time I was still learning and barely had one shop in main market lol Right now every hut is filled with mall shops, back then a lot of shops were just non mall galleries. (There weren't galleries before, you could price items at 100k neopoints in your shop I think and people wouldn't be able to buy it or something). Also it only cost a fraction of the amount today to upgrade to main market. It was 50 np per upgrade instead of 200 neopoint increase that we have now. Point being, cheap to upgrade, multiple shops in main, less competition and wayyy more noobs. Which is why some of the very old accounts are quite rich even today :P .. ah malling history in neopia. We could write a history book I'm sure.

I remember when they were 100k in shops too, to have a gallery. And I got my faerie pb when it was 300k, and strawberry fields forever pbs were 25k. And we could have contests in our shops and in our guilds.

I have a goal to make it to MM by year end somehow I do not think I will make it and it will roll into next year. All his accounts were frozen though... I don't recall the reason. But at the time I think no one could come close to having a shop as big as him. We are still malling because its profitable, no matter how small.. If all I did was upgrades and got no profit, I would stop at that moment.
