shop hits vs sales
hey there can some one explain to me why shop hits are better than total sales. my shop gets medium sized hits but i get alot of people that buy more that one item while they are there. so my total sales continually out weigh my shop hits. So I am wondering first how the hits are scored. as on many occasions my shop is visited by a neo friend but that some times purchases but on other occasions does not purchase. But neither hit registers even when i check back 15 min later. So which is the better calculator of your shops success hits or sales?

ok sorry if i sounded ridiculous. maybe i should rephrase my question. why do some malls rate how a person is doing in the shop on the hits and not sales. and then how actually are the hits counted on neomallers. that is if one person buys 20 items in a shop are they still only counted as 1 hit. and why then are some visits to a shop never counted at all

I agree with Dmitri. I get fairly good shop hits, but some days sales tank , others they are good Btw Kirsty if you see this my post count is nearing 50 *yarr*

I have WAY more hits than sales on many days. Today I have 70 hits already (63 shop wiz), and only around 20 sales. Depends on the customers. Many of mine buy 1 or 2 books, but one bought 1,000 in a day, so obviously sales were much higher than hits that day :) -that is if one person buys 20 items in a shop are they still only counted as 1 hit. and why then are some visits to a shop never counted at all- Neomallers counts unique visits per day. If the same person visits 10 times in a day, it counts as 1 hit, no matter if they buy 0 items or all of your items.

you know I truly think I have a valid question here as how the hits work is a mystery to many neomaller users or at least the ones that are my neo friends. so not so sound put out here I have always said that it is better to ask and know than to just pretend you know. so being told my question is ridiculous is kind of hurtful.

They may not know how their members sales are doing, however they can stalk their members hits :P ___________ Kirsty aka "the sensitive one" Silverdragon siggy stealer Tasty tent seller

Some categories are just plain popular like PBs but have low turnouts. As for your 2nd question, I can't really answer that since people will find ways to abuse it ;) It's already abused quite enough with 1 NP sales lol (A) But yeah, there is a multi-layer system that calculates the hits. It's not perfect but good enough in most cases
so being told my question is ridiculous is kind of hurtful.
Dont think anyone said that. You challenged an existing concept ("Shop Hits are better than shop sales") And I'm saying that concept is ridiculous since shop hits can easily be altered. (Remember those 1NP sales on the shop boards?)

so my questions are then moot points as the answer to hits cant be answered and can be altered. and since there isnt a link between neomallers and neopets then any form of sales recording can be falsified when it comes to showing how well you are doing based upon being in a mall. so then why do some malls get so bent over low hits or sales. and shy of putting in 1 np sales in your shop how does someone get hits over the 200 mark daily
