Medicine?
I just wanted to ask what the pros and cons are in handling Medicine.

Medicine is a very small category, usually always combined with another or a few categories. Medicine is good if you don't have alot of time, because you won't have to restock constantly. Just keep alot of that item in stock. It's bad if you have alot of free time, because you won't have anything to restock for a while until one item runs out (you'll probably get bored). For example, toys is a HUGE category (which I just switched from), so you will have to restock constantly, with only a few doubles of each item while it's the opposite for medicine. ;) I just switched to Training & Luck & Medicine myself. :* *star* http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=_redhead99_&misc *star* ^^ The Faerieland Mall's Toys & Plushies & Dark Faerie Shop! ^^

Medicine has the potential to rake large profits (from Tongue Shrinkers, Medicinal Soaps and Herbal Scrambles Egss). You could mark up 10k and people would still buy it. The other items do not sell really well though, but you need to stock them up just in case _______________________________________________ Bugsy's GUIDE to Effective SHOPKEEPING and MALLING: Version 3: Learn More About Hut Positioning http://www.neopets.com/~bugsy_lenny

I've always taken medicine because I don't have a lot of time on my hands to restock, and when I do have to restock, it's relatively easy. Most of the items you should restock are found in the Neopian Pharmacy -- Tongue Shrinkers, Medicinal Soap, Herbal Scrambled Eggs are the easiest since they restock in bulk. The harder ones are Extra Thick Goggles, Cactopus Cream, Honey Blossom Extract, and others which are much harder to get but can be much more profitable. Usually, medicine is combined with other categories such as Magic (equally as profitable, though harder to restock), and battle items (tricky, difficult to restock, though they look sparkly and nice in your shop). On good days, I can make up to about 300k in profit from the pharmacy alone. But they must be priced at the Shop Wiz prices--otherwise they don't sell since meds are so widespread. On days when I don't restock, the only profit I make is from sales in my shop from other categories. I would also suggest taking the Earth Faerie quest items categories if you're taking medicine as well. Those can boost your sales, though not by too much since Earth Faerie quests aren't too popular. Basically, I'm reiterating what was said before, but just adding a dash of my own experience :)
