No real tech needed. Pick and item and start refreshing through the wiz for it, is about it. It does take some patience, and a little bit to get to know the prices of your items. It always seemed like I got more SHH when I was in the wiz searching for things too, but I am sure it is because of all the refreshing you do in there.
I'll try it, but I doubt I'll get results. I've never been too good at that. ________________________________ Are you feeling lucky? Click Here!

I must say, when I joined The Preschool mall under the Neggs/Training category, I joined for the training. I had never ever dealt with neggs and thought them to be a nuisance. However, now after stocking neggs, they are my favourite thing. I can't ever see myself not stocking neggs. I went into it grudgingly just to get the spot, but I came out on top with a better love than i could have imagined finding. Play around a bit while your shop is small. Stock a variety of items, and if you're finding yourself leaning towards one type, then stock it. It doesn't need to be a "traditional" category. If you're finding you love stocking hot dogs and pizzas then that is what you should stock. If you love what you stock, you will put more energy and effort into it, and thus it will be all better in the end anyways.

I honestly don't know what category would be the best; I stock Food/Drinks/Candy/Bakery and I make large profits, but that's just me. I really LOVE stocking it, so I put more energy into it as for you, (example) could hate it and would probably switch it. Try choosing a category w/ a large or small stock, depending on what you want. Jellyneo has a great item database and you could check how many items there are or what things stock there if you're interested in certain categories. :)

I agree about using jellyneo once you decide on a category. I wouldn't know where to start without them and since you can sort the category by price, you can buy the cheap items to make some variety in your shop.

I think in terms of straight margins Foods/Drinks/Bakery etc could be the best. A number of those items are cheap and can be marked up to the 1500 NP range and still sell. That said, for gross profits I've heard Petpets, wearables or training.

When I stocked Food, I absolutely loved it. I found that most of my sales were through the first 2 or 3 pages, and even when I had a huge markup, those items still sold like hotcakes (no pun intended). Now I'm back to doing Books, and it can be pretty profitable. Many people are wanting to win the book award, so they'll buy a ton of different books. And Water Faerie quests will never cease to exist, so I have a pretty good chance of staying in business.

It all depends on how you stock the category. Some people could do well with a great category, while others completely fail in comparison. Paints a great one for profit, if you know what you are doing. I tried paint once and hated it :P For me, i'd say wearables is where the nps are. I make crazy np in this category.

I would think the most profitable would be to sell items that can be consumed. That way, there is always demand for them. (Such as Food or Codestones) Occasionally, I sell neggs and have found that they sell out quicker than anything.

And though there is little profit to be found in the basic cheap neggs once you get up to the 30-40k+ neggs decent profit can be made, and a surprisingly large amount of people want to buy them too.
