Jobs eventually get boring?
Submitted by vw1282 on Sun, 20/06/2010 - 1:17pm
I'm a year away from entering post-secondary. To me, it's important to choose the right path.
My friend keeps saying that whatever job you have, you'll eventually get bored of it, that's why you should go for the money.
1. I love money, but money isn't everything.
2. I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with his statement about jobs eventually getting boring.
I don't know why though and so I don't have reasons to back up my opinion. I think if someone truly enjoys a job they will never be bored. I don't know why my opinion is tilted this way, and I don't know why my friend thinks the opposite.
I'm a failure, this sucks.

Long story short I have the requirments to get into personal traning but they only acccepted the first 66 people that applied out of 168 total. Now I am sitting 12th on the waiting list accourding to my biology mark and the person thats sitting first on the waiting list has an 83%. Long sotry short I have to get a 95% inorder for my 66% to go to a 80%. I was an idiot and didnt apply for another "backup" career. And my mom is furious with me taking the first year off. Exspecially when they were going to pay for my university. Any suggestions?
Real Life Restocking
Submitted by paulikitten on Wed, 16/06/2010 - 3:18pm
So, I found I really enjoyed restocking on neopets (still do, will be doing much more when I finish school). So do you guys, clearly.
A couple months ago, two friends and I realized that you can restock f'realz. We started a vintage shop on Etsy, we each invested a modest $20, and as of today we've made a profit. The thrift hunting, the photography, the descriptions.. it's all incredibly fun. If you've never been on Etsy, check it out. Just wanted to let you guys know you can make real money out of a bit of taste and a bit of research. :)

Stranger: Cinderella ManWhat's the best way to scare away Javalina?
Submitted by davymuncher on Sun, 06/06/2010 - 8:34pm
For years at my house my dad has had problems with getting the Javalina (Wild Hairy pigs for you non desert rats) to stay out of our property, but generally banging on our metal shed has scared them off (Except the time they got in the rose bed *lol*). Recently though, our eighty-something year old neighbor (No exaggeration) has gotten a dog because she was told having a reason to walk would get her walking more and be healthier... though the one coyote in our area became four recently and Javalina's have been harder to get away.

Would You Date Someone Out Of Pity?

Hello all,
So here's the thing...
I have been friends with this guy for 5 years and I've noticed him wanting to get closer to me (giving hints and such) about his feelings towards me. I have not liked him in the years I have been friends with him nor do I feel the same way as he is feeling now. However, I do feel sorry for him because he is so darn nice to me. Maybe I'm over thinking it but there's a saying about, "love is blind". Maybe that quote is this now...?
