Hehe, yeah, its not common. :O I don't have some of the really expensive ones that are borderline UB, but when I'm fully stocked, I have all of the reasonable ones. :)

Maps still open, though. Since this is turning out to be a somewhat undesireable category, what do you all think about perhaps letting an undersized shop take it (provided they make up for not being main market by having a handful of items at wiz prices?) I'm thinking size 400-450 maybe?

Maps should go good with scratchcards. As for undersized shops, be very careful when doing that. I've seen alot of malls fall apart starting from that. It typically starts with a main spot like cards/stamps/coins. Then other members start leaving because of a non-market size shop, which makes it even harder to recruit so the mall leader settles with non-main for those open spots. Rinse and repeat. By the end of it, you've got a dead mall.
However, if it's a well established mall with a good foundation (includes members with larger shop sizes, 1000+), then it should be fine. After all, maps on its own isnt a "main spot" so getting a non-main filler isnt the end of the world.

Yeah, what Dmitri said ^ :P But if everyone in the mall understood and agreed to letting a non-main shop into the mall on the condition they upgrade fairly quickly, it shouldn't really be a problem. Its better to have a non-main shop then no shop at all
Oh of course. It usually causes a problem when the mall is full of immature members. As for the no shop thing, it depends on the spot. Sometimes, it's often better to let everyone stock that category. Might make the mall look abit disorganized, but if it increases sales for everyone, i'd say who cares :P

That's true. I got in to Faerie's Glen Mall (main market mall) because of that. It's definitely benefiting me more than the mall members, I think. I'm very grateful for the spot.
toys now open, the guy who currently holds this position hasn't been on neopets for a few weeks and never did bother to let us know. shame, too - he had a nice shop and i liked working with him.

Actually, I change my mind. No shop is better than a non-main shop in a main mall. Unless that spot remains open for 10 years but who's counting? (A)
No offence, but a non-main shop in a main mall makes the mall look like: "I'm dying. Goodbye Cruel Marketplace"
