Lol at post ^^ Hilarious. I tried it, it does not work for me either. just try your luck at stocks, where there is a better chance of you actually gaining nps.
To the OP who recommended this stupid betting system, SHAME ON YOU!
I based this on my experience with the game. You're basing your statistics on REAL LIFE Craps, whereas I am basing it off of what I have found with Neopets Krawps. Does Neopets used the exact same statistics as Real Life Krawps? Are you SURE of this? I don't think so. I mean, their slots (according to a plethora of information on petpages) definitely have a higher pay out than a casino's. So I don't know why they'd stick in accordance with any real life gambling game, but maybe so. I agree that it's highly based on luck, and I think I said that - but on neopets, I've found that using this - I have a very high success rate. As far as where I said if you stick with the "hi" or "lo" instead of changing in between the two, it's common knowledge in the statistical world that if you pick "heads" or "tails" (either one) consistently, versus alternating between "heads" and "tails", sticking with one (either "heads" or "tails") will produce a much higher % of wins. I referred to luck in the thread and with several follow up posts. I didn't maliciously mean for people to lose NP, I was just offering how I personally make NPs daily. As stated, playing it I am able to make quite the profit daily altering this strat very little - though somewhat - which I again STATED. Maybe you shouldn't scold someone for trying to help - but I can guarantee you that I won't bother making this mistake ever again. I tend to make 1m a day between my shop and this game - so I was just trying to help others out. Screw me.

You have to be willing to lose a little to make a lot as with most gambling games. I came out slightly ahead though didn't max bid x5 or would have done better. I did better at this then bilge dice at least.
To all the fools who are considering this stupid betting system, DON'T WASTE A SINGLE NEOPOINT ON IT! To all the fools who have already wasted NP on this stupid betting system, CUT YOUR LOSSES AND STOP CHASING THEM! To the OP who recommended this stupid betting system, SHAME ON YOU! OP, where the heck do you come up with the claims "you will ultimately win more than you will lose" and "changing actually increases your odds of losing"?! Do you have the numbers to back them up? I'm really, REALLY curious what your "statistical reason" is. If you can back up your claims, I'll gladly eat my hat (and post the vid on Youtube for all to see). But you can't. Here's why. The Bilgeline bet has a house edge of 1.41%; the Anchor bet has a house edge of 5.56%; and the Hi bet has a house edge of 13.89%. Notice that all of those bets are LOSERS - you will LOSE NP in the long run on all three bets. According to your system, you will lose on average more than 6% of your total betting amount. If you truly have your heart set on gambling for profits, then stick with the Neopian lottery - your expected winnings are 5000/n NP, where n=# of tickets sold. Even though it works out to less than 1NP most of the time, it's better than netting a 6% loss on your wager.
lol calm down ;) She was just trying to help

Does Neopets used the exact same statistics as Real Life Krawps? Are you SURE of this? I don't think so.
Payouts and odds are EXACTLY the same as in real life, assuming the dice are fair. If you can show that the dice used in Krawps are not fair, then maybe you're on to something, but you need to prove that before you can make any claims regarding the profitability of your betting scheme.
I mean, their slots (according to a plethora of information on petpages) definitely have a higher pay out than a casino's.
Who do you think writes the guides about how to win at slots? The thousands of people who lost NP, or the select few who won a ton of NP?
As far as where I said if you stick with the "hi" or "lo" instead of changing in between the two, it's common knowledge in the statistical world that if you pick "heads" or "tails" (either one) consistently, versus alternating between "heads" and "tails", sticking with one (either "heads" or "tails") will produce a much higher % of wins.
This is FALSE. Regardless of whether you pick heads or tails, you still have a 50/50 chance each flip. I really hope your stats teacher didn't teach you this (if he/she did, they should be fired).
I referred to luck in the thread and with several follow up posts. I didn't maliciously mean for people to lose NP, I was just offering how I personally make NPs daily. I take issue when you try to back up your claims with statistics to try and convince others that your betting system is profitable, when in fact it isn't. Sure, luck can make a difference whether you win or lose in the short-term, but if your message is for people to stick with your system so that they will make NP in the long run, that's a recipe for disaster.
Maybe you shouldn't scold someone for trying to help - but I can guarantee you that I won't bother making this mistake ever again.
I am absolutely not scolding you for trying to help. I'm scolding you for claiming that there are mathematical reasons why people should follow your system, when in fact there aren't any. I'm not out to be the bad guy, but when you're telling people how they will make millions as long as they "stick with it" when in fact they will lose millions, somebody has to call you out for it, and if that somebody has to be me, then so be it.

They've changed it since then, but the payout definitely had to be higher than in RL. I also won the jackpot once and know 5 other people who did too, one of them won the jp twice (then again, I know 3 big lottery winners in RL too =P). *shrug* But I was just coming back to post that I do plan to try Krawps again. It's only NPs after all ...

Oh I agree Mina, they definately changed slots. I used to play slots as a np making activity. When it came back I realised I was losing as much as 80k a day... i maybe was plus one day in every 15 or something, if that. Needless to say I decided i'd rather not play anymore :P ___________ Kirsty, aka evil super mod Sniper, maller, restocker Silverdragon siggy stealer Best wearables shop owner ever!

Yes, I think you have to take the gambling games as entertainment rather the np earning activities. They can earn you money but are just as likely to lose it. There are plenty of games out there that will earn nps without the high risk to your initial investment.
