I have a better idea...since you'll be posting after midnight, wait to see how much you need to post to get on page one. Right now 450,001 will get you to the bottom of page 1. The Nursery Malls kept a running total on donations -- give a certain amount and the ad poster just used as much as they needed to to get on page 1. I am sure the regulars wouldn't mind if you kept some of their points until the next week so they'd have to pay less. This would cut the problems with not getting to top spot and still paying over 260K (which is already more expensive than what I can get on a 4 mil ad that gets to #1 99% of the time). Ads that are not 4 mill are completely useless in my perspective. I have been recently contemplating joining a 4 mil ad to try it out again, but unless I am nearly assured 1st spot, I wouldn't consider it. I agree with the others, unless you actually wake up to post at this time, or get someone else to, your ad will most likely not be popular.

It's hard enough for the people getting top right now, I can assure you that you won't get people to participate in your ad (especially not enough to post the ad for 4m). If your reason for doing this is because you want an ad, then I'd suggest mailing sweets and jaspeh and ask to be on their waitlist, as this is the most logical way to get onto an ad. Good luck.

I did such a poor job explaining what The Nursery Malls do, lol! Each person in the mall pays a set amount each week/month and when the ad is placed the poster finds the best place (top of page 2 may be better than the bottom of page 1 so that is definitely cheaper, who knows). Whatever points are left are put into a treasury for the next time the ad is posted. I think for larger shops who can pay 200K each week it is better to participate in 4 mil ads because the hits are definitely better. However, when I was on the Nursery Ads I did get a few and thought the ratio (what I paid divided by how many hits I got) was comparable to a 4 mil ad. YOu'd be surprised how many people go through the ads -- I got hits from pages waaay in the back when I was experimenting. Soldier: This is another layer of work and keeping up with the info is VERY detail oriented (who paid what when, etc.). Whatever you decided to do, add about one more hour to the time you think it will take you to mange this thing each week and do what is most comfortable for you. Personally, I'd rather do it myself than trust another to post it in time because it would be me everyone was fussing at if it didn't peak. I think it is a good idea to go for the best top-ish spot you can get to without paying 4mil since most first-timers to the NB Ads don't have or want to shell-out tons of points.
