Its like being a jerk for the purpose of being a jerk? Hard to explain, take a field trip to the Battledome Chat and look for the rude/funny people xD
OH. Not that it was directed to me, but it sounds a little bit mean. Thanks for the reply!
It wasn't directed at you! I was answering the question of what trolling is :P
LOL. That`s not what I meant. I meant that though the word was not directed to me and it was directed to someone else (the poster), I personally think its meaning is a little bit mean.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community or posts to disrupt a normal conversation. I have to say if you spent time reading the boards more before posting a lot of your questions are already answered here and easy to find. :)

pretty much. Such as asking questions that you already know the answer too. Or doing stuff just to be annoying.

Trolling is also something you do when you go fishing too -- a method of fishing where one or more fishing lines, baited with lures or bait fish, are drawn through the water. I didn't see the usage but I'm sure the fishing term was not meant. Sometimes I use the word to mean about the same as strolling -- moving slowly through an area -- trolling the marketplace (looking at the shops in no hurry).
