Shop Guides.
So, this would be my first topic =} Anyway, I made a guide... (www.neopets.com/~aquarisse) And actually, am really starting to like it. I finally got the items categorized and the categories alphabetized. Now I am going to put 1 of each item from my SDB (for my category, of course) in my shop to be positive that everything is stocked and to make sure I did not miss putting anything in my guide. So any advice or positive criticism? I plan on making anchors, but have not found a good guide to help me with that, yet =} And I will be fixing a couple images and taking out extra once I know everything is put in my guide for sure. Thanks guys! I have put a lot of hours into it, and really would love to see people's thoughts and whatnot. Larissa

What is with all the Strawberry Koi Biscuits in the biscuits of all flavors category? ;) Other than that it looks pretty good.

Larissa[/quote] Your shop looks good :P I would highly recommend you do NOT use your SDB to help with your shop. I did that when I first started & even though it worked this site has a Portal that is the best way I know of to help you with your shop. This one has a lot of interesting information on it. Some people may say its useless but I love seeing this information. Seeing the profit percentages maybe useless to some but it keeps me motivated to restock :D Use the nps that you would have spent on the extra items in your SDB to increase your shop size to MI, it will really help your sales. Good Luck Check out my Faerie Shop: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=texas_girl_95

I agree, if you aren't using the portal now, you totally should, Lari!

I agree, the portal is an EXCELLENT tool. Humans are creatures of habit, and won't change especially when what they're already doing works well for them. I was in the same boat. I used an excel sheet and it worked out great. Now I use the portal and it's WAY better. So much easier. Paste your sales history, paste your shop front, then it will tell you what you don't have in stock and what's low in stock. It's excellent!!!! Do I get anything for advertising? :P

lol.. Well, I use it but I like having extras in my SDB. And I put all the guide items in the portal so I will know when I am out, but I am too darn lazy to go and price everything. And then, what do you do if you snipe? Just forget it or change the price? That is a lot of nonsense, I guess I could just leave it and remember that I had a little more profit, but we will see. If I sold all my SDB backup, I could definitely be at main by now, though lol =} Like mentioned above, all the extra of the same thing are my pre mades so those will be deleted once I am sure I have everything in there =}

ok lol. where you want the page anchors, put the following code: <`a name="X"`> (remove the ` ) so for example, if you want an anchor at the Brucicles table, you'd put the code where the coding for the brucicle table is. where the X is in the code, put the name of that anchor. for example for the brucicles anchor, you might want to put <`a name="brucicles"`> Now where you want to put the link to the brucicles area, instead of just putting http://www.neopets.com/~aquarisse, put http://www.neopets.com/~aquarisse#brucicles. Clear as mud? if you don't understand, I'll try and explain it better lol

If i snipe, I put that price there, unless I buy more than the 1 item, then I take the average :P And pricing is EASY! You price into the portal, then when you go to your shop, you check off copy shop prices and you just paste them into the shop :D

It looks like a very nice shop and a very nice catalogue! :) Only advice I would give you is to make an extra link to the 5th page. (You only have page 1-4 linked). But really well made :)
