Is it worth upgrading/upsizing my shop?
My shop is size 43, books & school. Is it worth upsizing it in bulk (up to maybe 60-100)?

In general, the bigger/more items you have to sell, the more money you can make. However, unless you have enough stock to fill up your shop after all the upgrading, I would advise against it. You would just be paying in upgrades for empty space. When you are the size you are, you get most of your hits from the shop wiz. Upgrading to size 100 won't increase sales in of itself. You need to combine good pricing with good stock and advertise your shop as much as you can.

Where can you advertise to get guranteed hits?

Quality advertising costs a lot. In the region of 200-300k for a button on an independent noticeboard ad. You can advertise in other ways though - the best being making sure you are top or close to top of SW, especially when you are a small shop. Good luck :)

I agree that you do need to have enough np to buy stock for your shop. However, I was always told that once you reach about size 100 (stocking 1 of each item) is when you'll see a big jump in sales. I did find this to be true. I started noticing a big jump I think around size 85 or so, and it's just gotten better the larger I've gotten. I do always price my things for wiz, though. Your prices are what will make the most difference in sales volume. I think at your size, you have to just creep up slowly, though. That's what I did, and most people I know. You get comfortable where you have enough np to buy stock and some left over, then you upgrade in size a bit and suddenly you don't have enough np to stock all the spaces. So you wait and grow till you are comfortable and have np left over again, and the cycle goes on. I think that's how most of us have grown. You have to be careful to be able to fill your shop because that's where all the money is coming from. Empty shelves can slow you down. Good luck! ;) ~ Love books?
