Tips on increasing Hits & Sales?
Well here's the thing. :P I'm doing bakery&sweets and in the TML mall. Its a great mall, and this is one of my favourite categories, one that I've waited oh-so-long for. :K We have the ad going, and with my size 273 shop, I am in the spooky marketplace. :) My prices are okay, I'd say about average for a shop in a mall & with my size. Have 9 pages stocked (and working on more). However, I'm only getting about 10 purchases per day...maybe less. :( Does anyone have any tips on increasing hits and stuff? I mean nothing major like switching categories, upgrading my shop majorly etc etc... Thanks in advance ^^

*suggests the useless of switching categories* Seriously, stocking bakery and sweets alone isn't usually very profitable. To give a slightly more useful recommendation, the most profitable way to run that type of shop is to restock in bakery and chocolate and price yourself cheapest on the wiz.

I agree with Kirsty. Stocking Bakery alone without foods is like, a monkey that's deprived of its banana. Neopets without the NC mall. wushu_soldier without any soldiers, Kirsties that refuse to stay, etc you get the idea or a dmeantree deprived of his gourmet-tasting furniture! Bottom line: Food and Bakery go hand in hand

I used to do choco/bakery alone myself a few years back, and I remember I did great. I was in an amazing mall at the time though. But I agree with Kirsty on this one, make sure you wiz price quite a bit of it to increase traffic. Advertising on the boards should help too. One the whole, I think choko/bakery can be a good spot if managed right; don't have high markups, have a LOT in stock and advertise though wiz, boards, nb and any other method you can think of :P ___________ Chris, aka wushu_soldier Sniper, maller, reseller Background shop of X-Mart Neomallers graphics designer

I also agree. A problem I have is that I got good deals for two morphing potions (yellow uni 78.5k and orange koi 32k). The problem is that I can't sell them! What should i do? ------------------------------------------Edit 1--------------------------------------------------- Yay! orange koi got a bid! I decided to put it up for auction.

i made a kiling when i did bakery/sweets at about the same size as your shop is now. stock a huge variety of items and get full sets when you can (it looks nice and encourages impulse buying). stock your 1st page with cheapies at sw prices (ice cream cones, doughnuts, and chia pop or chocolate) - you'll have to restock them daily but they bring in alot of traffic for whatever reason, and i priced everything just above the ssw (if the 10th price showing was 1400, i'd price my item at 1600. if it showed 14k, i'd price it at 15k or 15,500). sales were so good that i had to either switch categories or get rid of my 2 year old - there just wasn't enough time for both! after much deliberation, i decided that switching categories was the way to go. she's way cuter =) and if you're not already - get on a 4mil np ad =) hope that helps!
i made a kiling when i did bakery/sweets at about the same size as your shop is now.
if you made a killing with just bakery/sweets, you'll definitely make a holocaust when paired with foods *yarr*

Definitely pair it with foods. I used to love this catagory when I was feeding Kads. Check your prices against the shop wiz and try to be in the top 5 if not the cheapest. If you don't want to spend the effort of SW checking, then lower your prices by 10% per item per day until you see an improvement in sales. Good luck:)
