Shop Size 43 If that is still accurate, then I would say
becuase my shop is kinda over priced
is not a good idea. Profits may not be as great if you lower your prices a bit, but you have to rely on the shop wizard a lot at that size, as you're not in any market at all.

For me, I find that advertising works a lot more than you think it does. Also, Training and Books should go lot hotcakes, especially if you price the water faerie quest books a little bit lower than SW prices. That will bring people INTO your shop. Also, if you put in the welcoming message to bookmark this shop for Water Faerie Quests, that seems to bring customers back. Good luck!
what size would be good to start raising prices?
I'm wondering about that too, I need to see how much NP to spend in order to reach 5+ this size. -------------------------------------------------------------- I don't easily get distracted *drools over shiny object*

Since, that's the lowest market, then is the Mystery Island one, then the main one, right? -------------------------------------------------------------- I don't easily get distracted *drools over shiny object*

What do you mean a hypothesis? The reason you can raise your prices when hitting a marketplace is that customers can find you in a new way (a hut) rather than through the shop wizard. Until you reach this size, you will only be found through the shop wizard really. Advertising on the board will help some, but the only way to have a consistent flow of customers when you are offline is to price within a reasonable amount so that you're shown by the shop wizard.

I don't sell training/books, so I wouldn't know specific info for those categories, but it's you're not making much np, you should really lower the prices (but of course not to the point of making no profit.) Maybe a 100~500np mark-up depending on the price to purchase the items, but keep it shop wiz price. As they start to sell fast, raise the prices by 100np or so.
