To address a question asked about 4 times today:
Absolutely no size under 500 allowed. *unsure*
I know books can see slow sales, but our book keeper :* has good (compared with a couple other malls) hits every day.
Plus, you get the added bonus of other items you can advertise and stock so.. :)
That's the reason for that.

If you think sales are bad with this category, ask him about it - he says they aren't that bad at all in this mall - and he's not even main market :)

it's a main market mall, so it should be absolutely no size under 600 (?) then you wont get small shop sizes applying. period.

Well, on my petpage it states that I make exceptions - obviously if someone is you know, 550 and can upgrade within a reasonable time. I don't really mind.
But shop sizes well below that is what I was referring to.
I think most main market malls allow reasonable people in under main market size - even X-mart.
I guess "someone you know" is the keyword here.
And no, i do not make exceptions anymore in X-Mart (unless it's a current member that is frozen, and wants to rebuild). We actually dont really accept new <700 unless we know they are a solid maller. I found out the hard way that people usually dont upgrade as promised, or take 100 years to do it. Usually the bigger the size, the less likely of mall hopping problems and we just dont have the time to recruit every day for new members. Also, other aspects of the account (trophies, battledome stats, and a gallery) are also taken into big consideration :P
As for the only non-main in there, that spot is not even a "real" spot

Indeed as Dmitri said, no exceptions with us when it comes to under main market size (with normal mall categories). We have one maller under main market size, Pip, but her category isn't a "real" category to be found in other malls so :P.
I find it kinda annoying that malls can call themselves main market malls, and then in some cases like over half the members are under main size, crazy stuff.
Good luck filling the spots, your mall is doing great for a new mall, hold out for people of main market size, they can and will apply if you employ a strict no under main market applications policy.

Anyways, the reason why we dont allow exceptions is that the mall tends to suffer and eventually die. I've seen so many MAIN malls that settle with non-main shops. This causes the main mallers to get pissed off and then leave/slack off. Mall leader gets more work, sales go down, and settles for even more smaller shops. Rinse and Repeat and by the end of it all, closes down completely.
Im sure this wont happen to every mall that does this, but just the trend that I've been seeing over the last 2 years.
