Okay, this thread will have several questions in it.
One: Would it be wise to upgrade as much as I could with 500,000 nps? Granted, that would only be 22 sizes from where I am now (which means I would hit 122.)
Two: What size do you have to be to reach Main Market?
Three: I've been thinking about switching categories, but I don't know if I should?
Four: Would I be better off just investing those nps into restocking stuff?
Thanks for your input!

I don't see it impacting your sales at that size.

605

Depends on your issue - sales? no desire to stock? too expensive to stock?
General rule is to stock what you can have fun with.
If I had my choice, the only things I can ever see myself stocking again are Wearables and Food/Drinks.

In my opinion, if you only have 500k to play around with at the moment, I definitely would NOT put it in your shop.
I'd go with investments, stocks, sniping, and so on.

I say get better stock -- more expensive items that turn greater profit! When you have the best items you can then think about upgrading. Honestly 500K isn't enough to matter with regard to upgrades in any big way. Main market requires size 605 shop so...
To upgrade from size 1 to size 605
The cost would be : 36,542,000 NP
36.5 million NPs from start to Main Market! WOW!
If you aren't making loads of profit from each sale it will take you FOREVER (TRUST ME! I have the packrat category [and avatars] but it is so much work to make any sizeable profit with a small mark-up!) so concentrate on buying more expensive items because you can make millions each week in sales instead of 100's of thousands.

So, basically, I should RS more expensive items with the nps I have?
Rather than investing in upgrading?

Yes. You will see more profit that way and then be able to turn that 500K into a few million which will be necessary to upgrade your shop to a good level.
