No one wants a mall leader that ignores a member's concerns. - [b]Be mature and be willing to commit. [/b]Everybody can start a mall, but only a few can actually run it. "A mall isnt just for christmas or summer" - [b]Have a higher-than-average shop size[/b]. (Ideally 1000+, but 800 should suffice) - Great [b]quality graphics with professional-style layouts[/b] and text. Paint is terrible. Avoid it. As for type, Helvetica/Myriad Pro FTW. More the better. - [b]Dont rush into filling a spot. [/b]It's better to leave that spot empty, as opposed to recruiting some noob and then have him cause problems. - [b]Do a background check (if possible) on people who apply.[/b] If they slacked in their old mall, chances are, they'll slack in yours. - [b]Dont recruit mall hoppers[/b], regardless of their shop size/promises. - [b]Dont make exceptions[/b] (especially to size requirements) unless you know that user really well and s/he will uphold his or her end of the deal or the category isnt a main category (like school) A non-main maller taking a major spot like wearables in a main mall makes the mall scream "I'M DYING!! GOODBYE CRUEL MARKETPLACE" - [b]Hire a mall bully.[/b] (XMART: Irisheyez, she does wonders!) to do all the dirty work such as death threats. - You can never have too much humor. Hire a mall mouth. "My pants just pitched a tent" -- a_kitty_lover Ohh and dont be afraid to kicking out slackers. Yes they'll go beserk but it's better for the mall. As for Xmart, I eventually ended up kicking/dropped/the member quit neopets, ALL the original members when Xmart formed. Communicate with your mallers. I know that might sound /really/ basic, but I have been in some horrible MAIN MARKET malls that lacked communication skills completely. People like to know what's going on. Don't just put a banner in your shop and call it a mall. - Kara (and for God's sake.......... don't let them unionize!)

[/quote] Alot of people who "hate" me use these counters lol. However, from what i hear, one mall has banned all their members from using this service lol. Funny since he used to (or maybe still does) use the sales history tracker and brag about it all over the guild boards
