Thanks guys. ;) I advertise on the shop boards occasionally; I'll definitely be there more often from now on. raine_storme: Those are good strategies! I thought about some of them before, but never initiated them (self-doubt, I guess). Yeah, it is kind of annoying to price cheap items. XD TKDJamesPakTKD: Ohhh. I never quite knew how to price items that are constantly inflating. I buy one, price it more expensive, it gets sold, and when I go to stock it again, its price has risen higher than my profits. :P Buying several at a time sounds smart! kermat13: Whuut? I actually don't get it. :( The Preschool Mall: All Things Faerie http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=mizleah

You have to buy from the Neopian shops on half price day; you have to price those items at high SW prices and keep SW buying to a minimum. Only buy items you can make 200-400 profit on if you buy it from SW or just don't have it in stock until you can get it cheaper. Yes, bulk stock items that you sell a ton of. I have 10 - 30 of my hot selling items in my SDB and I got them all for super cheap so that I can make a good profit on them if I did have to sell them at SW. Research your stock -- you do not have to sell every item in that category at your size so only carry what sells for high profit. Yes, have the other items you feel you must in your shop but price them high enough that when it sells you can buy another and make profit too. How? Research and experience. If you do your homework and don't buy unless it's cheap and you look for it each day and notice the price is going up, buy one and put the price at double. If it doesn't sell -- great, it can sit there until you get main market size and assure you your shop will never be empty. Shop size 103? Force yourself to play games until you have enough to restock your shop and save the points you make in the bank until you can get to size 275. As for the "never a reason to price less than 1K" -- yes there is! Do some research on this site (search key words, look through malling advice folder) -- everyone has this question and we've all given loads of good advice about it. I've sold over 5,000 items at only 100 neopoints profit so don't feel too bad about having to work hard for your profit. I'm making much better now and have quite a few regular shoppers that have bookmarked my shop and I'm still only a size 250. What I said above is from experience. You have to earn the privilege to charge a huge profit for items...upgrade your shop size and get into a mall with main market shops; advertise on the shop boards; try some 4 mil ads; sw price until your fingers are numb; bulk stock items so you can restock your shop from your SDB and make a mint if one of those items hits the roof one day; save your points; invest in the stock market...buy 1,000 items on 1/2 price day and sell it the next month so there is no need to buy from SW and make no profit :) If this sounds like work then maybe malling isn't for you because I love all that stuff! Good luck and you'll get there. ~ Mimi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ temps_bons graphics ~ http://www.neopets.com/~Mimi_Miaulement

Honestly, listen to Mimi, she knows what she's on about! I've read nearly every post she's commented on about this, and I've done pretty much everything she has said, and my shop runs so well now. I sell heaps every day, and I'm making enough profits to upgrade at least twice a day. Less than a month ago I was size 88, now I'm at 127, and growing everyday! Just because we have small shop sizes doesn't mean we can't earn half decent profits! :) =--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--= Heaps of Delicious Baked Food & Candy! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=sarahhsixx

I'll mark down half-price day on my calendar... keep on forgetting to restock on that date! D: Will be doing more research. I also find I sell more on the days when I upgrade so that has something to do with sales and profits too! ----------------- Best Priced Malls Books, Paintbrush's, Job Coupons, & Morphing Potions http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=suzierainbow

Mizleah I think it might just be the category you are doing. Since I've started doing paintbrushes I've noticed huge amounts of profits while keeping low amounts of items, and pricing my items high. I'm only size 161. I'm in the same mall as you. We are practically getting the same non-shop wizard exposure, but yet I'm getting more hits and profits then you. And I'll admit it. I'm a sloth when it comes to restocking ;). I only have to restock around 20 items a day and I gain on average 60 k profit a day. However you have multiple pages of stock and are restocking many more items. I participate in the stock market daily and upgrade 1-2 sizes daily now. And most of my stock is only recent. Two weeks ago I had around 35 items stocked; I now have around 70 items in my store. ~Abrar

Keep upgrading, you'll get there. --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.

I think it might be stock/advertising. Less than a month ago, I was doing the exact same category in the exact same mall, and I got 20-30k each day (making sure I didn't go more than a day or so without restocking). The only difference between me and you is I was size 161, with an extra page and a half, and I advertised some on the neoboards.
