I think it might be stock/advertising. Less than a month ago, I was doing the exact same category in the exact same mall, and I got 20-30k each day (making sure I didn't go more than a day or so without restocking). The only difference between me and you is I was size 161, with an extra page and a half, and I advertised some on the neoboards.
Whoa. It's true. I advertised like crazy today, and my profits have risen dramatically!!! :D

Keep upgrading, you'll get there. --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.
Ya it's only 35,794,200 NP until MM ;) ~Abrar
what? is that sarcasm? I was size 175 just 2 1/2 months ago and i'm in MM now so it is possible =P
No way, that's insane! :O I'll try to upgrade as much as possible during the holidays, but I don't have much time during school days. lmao I've never had that much neopoints on hand. OK this is really and truly the best advice I can give you. And it seems like terrible advice to give when you consider me and you are in the same mall. Leave the mall. Go independent for a while and try out different categories. Gain some experience and find what you really enjoy. Being independent gives you more freedom on what you would like to stock and let's you do it on your own time. Also while being independent upgrades aren't really a problem. In that time that you don't have to upgrade you can raise a lot of capital money to invest in your "new" shop. I found that the most difficult problem I had was a lack of funding when I moved into malls and this made it extremely difficult to maximize my profits. I've done a lot of categories and I realized that the best one for me is paintbrushes/morphing motions as this allowed for me to be completely lazy with my restocking ( in comparison to say...wearable). So to summarize -leave your mall -try out new categories to gain experience -save up your money "The rich only get richer quickly, while the poor must struggle" ~Abrar

one thing i use to do when i was a small shop selling jelly---was to buy like 10,000 jellies--and spend a saturday loading up the money tree. lots of people will comment and visit ur shop. It's alot of work but it helped alot we turned it into a guild contest to help me collect the jelly Books! Reasonable Prices!! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=kermat13&misc

It always amazes me when people switch categories and sell EVERYTHING in their shop and stock it all up again. The sheer thought of that much SW searching terrifies me. :( It's probably good to experiment with different categories, but I'm far to lazy to do that much work. XD I'll stick to faerie for now; if I'm still not getting much profit after taking other people's advice, then I'll think about switching. Its as though you've invested 1.2mil a real life business. The profits will probably not compare to those that invested 36m in a business (30 times the investment, and this number is used because it will be about 30 times the investment from a 106 shop compared to a 606 shop). This is like comparing a gas station to a small corperation .. To get to that size from your shop alone will take so long.. I think it's best to find other sources of NPs to pay for your shop sizes. Restocking and sniping mainly, even stocks and games will help too..

Trying out categories... A lot of people change categories a ton of times throughout their neo career... But its certainly not a must. If you enjoy your category, stick with it.. any category can be profitable once you figure out how to run it. I was really annoyed when I got stuck with the map category when I first joined my mall (I wanted toys :O). But now I wouldn't change categories for anything. *nods* ------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~ Come visit my map shop ~~

listen to heartlessness and temps =) keep stocking and upgrading, buy and price smartly, and advertise. when i did faerie my biggest sales would be those that found me on the neoboards and would use my shop to bulk up their galleries and then come back for more. the ssw is definitely the best tool to use for max profits, but if you don't have that you can still get similar results with the sw, just refresh the search results several times and try to find the prices i your group and price accordingly: http://www.thedailyneopets.com/articles/shop-wizard/

I've gone through a lot of categories and I find that Paintbrushes are the most fun for me (it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling every time I see 1 mil in my till after around 4 hours ;).) ~Abrar

Okay, let me try to summarize everyone's helpful advice onto a list that i will refer to from now on! (i like lists ok?) :) - Advertise on shop boards - Upgrade shop size as often as possible - Restock, play games, invest in stocks, and do everything possible to earn NP - Stock items that sell well - Buy like crazy on half-price day - Experiment with categories to find what suits best Anything I've missed? --- The Preschool Mall: All Things Faerie http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=mizleah
