Coding help for item directory: IE support
Alright, so I recently finished the coding for my item directory here: http://www.neopets.com/~xSybia however Internet Explorer has to be stupid and ignore the position:fixed property for my navigation. Any suggestions for getting it to work? I also need to figure out a way for it to recognize the hover property for when you mouse over the divs, because it ignores those too *angry* Also, I would like people with Opera and Google Chrome to view it and tell me if anything looks off, as I coded it in Firefox. Thanks! :) P.S. - I would also like suggestions on what categories to add next. I'm not sure if I should separate the remaining wearables by species, which would be time consuming to do that for all 50 something, or some other way. Any suggestions? OK, thanks P4Ssoa and Dmitri :) So does anyone know how to get around position:fixed in Internet Explorer or the hover property? Thanks in advance :D And also, does anyone have any suggestions for categories? EDIT: Alright, figured out the position:fixed :) And I did a lot of searching and the only way I could find to emulate hover in IE is through javascript so that's not going to work. Just looking for suggestions on how to categorize items now :) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Wearables Galore: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=sybia123

Lol when I read this one of my first thoughts was "If anyone has viewing troubles of your place, say their fault for using IE" --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.

lol :) Nah, more complicated then that. IE doesn't want to understand what hover means, while every other browser does. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Wearables Galore: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=sybia123

Thanks for the reply Perpette :) I worked out another way to get past it a little bit ago. Basically made it only one page, with a div OVER the basic page. That way the page wasn't actually scrolling, the div was and I placed the nav above that div. Thanks though! :) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Wearables Galore: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=sybia123
