I read the whole board, that's why I made my comment. How can they buy their way into the game with NC items? I have lots of NC items and they do nothing in terms of giving me neopoints or any other advantage on the site.

The "free NP item" you get with every 25$ cash card is worth what? 20k-30k? That is nothing. Also with every 25$ cash card you can only send 5 items which turns out to be 5$-12.5$. There is a cap to what you can trade so you will always be stuck with the bulk of items. Yes you can transfer items, but it is very limited on how many you can and for that reason you can not "buy you way to the top" Having a lot of neocash items does however, give you an advantage in being lent though. Well, this is the real world, and people won't do stuff for no gain. :P I agree Neopets is giving the NC Mall way too much attention, but they are a business, and businesses work to make money. You think neopets will neglect their main source of getting people to purcahse NC? Do you think that if the free site is not worked on that people will continue to purchase NC? They will likely try to get by on a smaller employee base working on the free part. If they are going to hire more employees, obviously the bigger percent of them are going to be focused on the most profitable portion of the site. Anyways, I see more progress on the mall than the rest of the site, and people are still stupid enough to buy from the NC mall. I predict neopets is only going to do the minimal for the free portion of the site to keep players. (which they are doing). I don't think if the neocash mall brings in more revenue that they will hire more people to work on the FREE portion of the site.

XD Yeah but they're going to get to a point where they HAVE to work on the free portion of the site. Sure it won't grow as fast as the NC Mall, but it doesn't mean they're just going to stop there. Otherwise they'll lose their reputation of being a free site that anyone can play. If the NC Mall was most of Neopets, then I never would have joined, and I know a lot of people wouldn't either.
