How do you guys manage to get good RS?
I've been camping at the Magical Bookshop trying to get a copy of Gourmet Cooking For Your Pet. I know I'm in the right place, as I looked it up through Jellyneo. I've also been camping in the Chocolate Factory for a r90+ candy to get that avi, and also in the Plushie Palace to get ZDAP (I *really* want that avi!). I don't think I'm anywhere near good enough to get anything good from the Magic Shop.... So how do you guys do it? I need something to bring in some extra nps fast (as I want to upgrade more) but every time I try going for UB I never seem to know what I'm getting, or I *just* miss the RS, so all of the junk items are left. =/ Thanks for any advice! -Rachie

Luck, timing, and knowing what to buy. When I was looking for the Gourmet cooking book I would look for anything red and ignore anything else, and had finger hover over the 5 button (555np) I got the Chocolate by memorizing the list of r90+ items and knowing what they looked like. Good luck on the ZDAP :P Rsing is knowing what to buy and lots of luck :D http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=atlantissix

honestly rs-ing is about 50% luck, 30% skill and 20% computer speed. Here's why I think so. About a year ago I restocked a Sticky Snowflake Stamp. Now that's worth quite a bit but it almost made me realize how many variables come into play. 1. Luck. I was talking to my friends on MSN and not really rs-ing. I refreshed the stamp page purely conincidentally and saw the Sticky Snowflake Stamp right under my mouse. If I hadn't refreshed right at that second I wouldn't have gotten it. If it hadn't stocked where it did I wouldn't have gotten it. 2. Skill. I haggled 9898 which is my fastest haggle. I can type numbers just as fast, if not faster, as I can type words. If I hadn't practiced my haggle 9898 9898 I might have frozen when push came to shove and I wouldn't have gotten it. 3. Computer Speed. People will claim this is the most important - but I disagree! I get 1-2 second page loads which is 2x-4x slower than a lot of other computers but I still get good items. Why? That goes back to luck & skill. I will say though that if my computer lagged on the stamp or just didn't load the page I wouldn't have gotten it. Okay so there you have it xD. That turned out to be longer than I had anticipated but um. My advice is just keep it up! Eventually all 3 of these factors will all work together and you will get an awesome item. Good luck!

Lets say two people have maxed out flawless haggles .. as in they can haggle as the fastest possible speed, w. superspeed comps. What it comes down to then is who refreshed closest to the restock. Not seconds, I mean tenths or hundredths of seconds .. and thats the luck aspect :) you can refresh at a shop nonstop but still only be able to reload once or a twice a second , but in terms of RSing even 1 second is a long time, especially in shops like magic or stamps ------------------------------- www.youtube.com/TKDJamesPakTKD Check out my Martial Arts samplers =)

Good luck!
That's kind of funny. My best ever UB was Sophie, A Biography-bought for 9999np and sold for 6M. I was talking on the phone and RSing during 15 second lags on Nepoets. When I saw the book, I dropped the phone and was fishing around for it while haggling and then waited for what seemed like forever on a blank white page before I got it :D http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=atlantissix

It really depends on where you RS. There is no room for fishing in shops like magic and stamps ;) you spend even a second or two fishing for an item , it will be gone. That I can pretty much guarantee ------------------------------- www.youtube.com/TKDJamesPakTKD Check out my Martial Arts samplers =)

I got a pirate draik egg because I was there the millisecond it restocked. And I practiced the haggle many times before I have gotten it.
