One of my mall members has been doing a petpet page history of her stock sales. Atlantissix - She runs our Home and Garden center, and has created some awesome pages besides this one for her shop & items within. I am really proud of her, and her knowledge for coding helped me get our mall coded so that it is tracking hits properly for our hut and banner hits. I lost a mall member because the counts were coding as other, so instead of mentioning the issue to me, he just up and left with no notice, I was sadly disappointed. If he had brought this issue to my attention I would have gotten it fixed immediately and I knew immediately she would have been my savior (and I was right). I am relatively new to neomallers compared to many of the members here, and I have a strong basic understanding of coding which is only strengthening with time. Anyway, I told you about her page, it can be located at the link attached. Initially her plan was to sell at 30% I have not done the math to see if this is what she finally ended up doing. It has been a work in progress since the beginning of the year.
You can locate the information here:

Now I was told that by some neo millionaires not to sell the stock until it hits 60 % profit or higher. I find that I do make huge amounts of profit, and sold the highest at around 130% a little above or below. I really wished that I had invested more when those happened, I seem to have found a small pattern and that is to invest in the stocks at 15 when they are up that have to do either with security or with Power Usage. I never ever invested in Virtupets because of the quote from Neo on the page stating
"This evil company is a front for Sloth and his nefarious schemes. Do not invest, we repeat do NOT invest!"
I always thought that it had something to do with pets that were abused so I stayed away, I do not believe in the mis-treatment of neopets, owned or adopted. I found one of my neofriends actually takes pets from the adoption center who are sick and mis-treated and adopts them, makes them healthy and strong and then finds good homes for them. I wish now that I did not have four so that I too could do such a job, however I am not going to give up my four so I am out of the game for that.
Anyway I hope that this can help you I am not sure that the masters of the stock market will agree or disagree but I hope it can help you in some way.
Hugs
Suz

Regardless of what the stock's info says about it, I buy it at 15 or 16 np, buy 1000 of it, and start selling it off at 60. If you're just starting out and want an immediate profit, you could sell at 30. I recommend upping your sale point as you get more comfortable with your profits. I probably won't up my sale point because I love profits, and stocks reach 60 before they reach 70 :D

My first goal used to be 40
My second goal used to be 60
Now my current goal is 100.
Since I am in no rush to spend the np, I don't mind the np sitting in the stock market.
That's how I earned 95% of my np, from selling mass amounts of stock that I've collected over time at 100np/share. However, this is a greedy strategy. A more reasonable strategy would be to sell at 40-60.
