IF the NB advert your mall does it optional, I would consider opting out. I don't believe that any NB advert other than the 4million one is a worthwhile investment - I'm not even sure where to find the 240-ish ads and I don't think I'd ever feel like hitting the "next page" button enough to find it. As for how many hits you should expect from your banner....I really don't know how to answer that. I've only been in three malls (The Hide Out, Nuggler & Friends, back to the Hide Out and now in my own) and hadn't had access to something that tracks where my hits come from until this site was created. I do know that I'm seeing between 150-200 hits a day that come from the mall banner at this time. Possibly I had more hits when I was in Nuggler but I certainly didn't have any more sales than what I have now. I notice you have an open category (with three open buttons) in your mall. That makes a difference, too - because it means one less person who is linking to you. Maybe once that last spot is filled your mall hits will pick up a bit. If not - question the quality of the mall you are in and the people in that mall. I'm not really a good basis for comparison since I'm in a larger mall and I do 4 mil NB ads, but yesterday I had 212 hits from mall members and 87 from my NB ad (which was towards the end of page 1). Hope that helps some.

Compared to your stats, my shop stinks...I rarely make 100 hits per day...total...Any suggestions on how to fix this?

When one of the 4mil NB Ads I'm in hits the top, I get around ~80-100 or so hits from the NB ad. I usually get ~100 from my mall members every day.

The mall I'm in has been averaging over 200 hits a day from the mall banner, but I'm in a mall that does weekly 4mill ads, and has many members in main marketplace, and is a very active mall. I think I've had about 600+ hits today on peakday of the mall's 4mil ad (they didn't have the ?nb tag this week, so it's hard to say what's from advertising on the boards, and what's from the nb, but I know the majority of the 700 unclassified hits today are from the nb ad, since looking at the average unclassifed hits it's safe to say I'm way ahead of usual!) For my other 4mill ads I've been getting far less on peak day though, even when they've been on the top, not quite sure why, but more like 100-300 seems about right! I think when you're a smallish shop size you can't expect too much from your mall, and I definitely agree that 240k ads are completely useless. I wasn't ever sold on the effectiveness of the 600-1.4m ones that the medium malls had, but at least I know they got some traffic, because they were on the second page. Any further back, and you get zip though. I reccomend working on getting your shop bigger and better so you can move up to a bigger, more active mall! :)
