For those that has there own catalogue in there shop, how many hits do they get in that petpage compare to there shop hits...
Conclusion: Is it worth spending the time creating an catalogue or is it not due to the hits results...
Thanks!
I would love some feed backs please

I had a catalogue for about an year, got about 10 hits to it daily and also stuck a counter in there too. People who visited the catalogue NEVER EVER not EVEN ONCE bought anything from my shop
But alot of them did proceeed to my userlookup and beg to be my neofriend

lol wow.
Yea, Im thinking that if people get to my guide, its cause Im gonna have a link in my shop. So if they were already in my shop, they dont really need a guide, they can just buy stuff!!! :P I have a feeling its not worth all the effort. But when I was selling books, I did make a guide for them to at least find faerie books more easily ^_^

I think guides work best for people with Faerie Quest shops or shops that have a huge variety of items.
I think it also depends on how you group the items too. For example, if I had a Neohome and Garden shop, I think it would be smarter to group items by whether they are Island themed or Halloween themed, ect. since people would like to buy items of the same theme to match their house or whatever. I think this would be more than useful around Christmas time. I wouldn't bother with it if you have a shop with only a few pages of stock, but it's up to you.

Honestly, I think it depends on what category you have. Those with furniture for example, there is a need to compare how an item matches and to look for what else you would like for your neohome. So those catalogs have some what of a purpose and may cause some sales. I cant really judge, for you based on mine. About 75% of my map sales are from my page. I have an unfair advantage because I had created mine as a guide before I used it for malling and it received high exposure on most of the help pages. My sales have slowed from the guide as the "pricing guides" came out because I refused to do pricing for obvious reasons.
Basically, its just like any other web-page. Does it serve a purpose and how well do you market the page. As _jaspeh_ said if the only link is from your shop it can be a bit useless. I think the ones that would see results from catalogs would be Books, Stamps/Cards, Furni/Garden, as they have definate reasons people need to find more items. Maybe gourmet foods only, and possibly cures could get a few sales going. Cures does just as well with an image map though. The rest, I really think is a lot of work for minimal results.
