If I had to choose between the two I would go for wearable without even blinking or looking back. I think the profitability and demand for wearable is so much greater than it is for food. I know people say pets will always go hungry, but I don't know about most, but I don't buy food for my pet.. I play with them, but they get fed through the lodge which is so much cheaper and then they're always bloated if I can't get on for a few days for some reason or another.

I did wearables for my first shop and I loved it. I did make a decent profit, but I was not really in a mall at that time - so I can't really say what my profits would have been like if I were in a mall. I moved to plushies because I was bored with wearables, and then shortly after, I moved onto food when I was contacted by a mall manager who asked me if I wanted to take a food spot in a good group of malls. I love food even more. I like it because there are SO many items and I'm just having so much fun with it. But it's likely because I was doing wearables for so long - I was getting bored, and this category is all new to me. Wearables was definitely easier. It was harder to restock because it was more competitive in the shops, but there are so many less items so it was easier to keep track of everything. And with great guides like this one, it's even easier. Food is a bit of a challenge. TONS and TONS of items! Especially if you think about pizzas, hot dogs, healthy foods, and more - eep! I'm all about constantly growing and adding more, so it's rough trying to figure out, "Do I have that item already?" Sure, I can easily find out, but that also makes it very time consuming, with so many items and so many that look the same. And then I realize that I already have 10 of them! My profit with both was/has been good. With wearables I would sell just a few items a day, some cheap and some higher priced, and with food I sell tons of cheaper items and maybe a few higher priced items each day. I can't say what's a better profit because I haven't been in food long enough, but so far it seems to be about equal.
