naw, they won't do that. they might continue to neglect the BD but they won't close it down. too many things site-wide tie into the BD. Most of the stuff in the Hidden Tower is BD related, codestones would be completely useless, half the neggs from the neggery, faerie quests and kitchen quests give out stats, etc. It's just not gonna happen.

I know my son lives to battle and I like the easy trophies. Even though it is promoting violence it's done in a manner that doesn't bug me so much because the rounds/fights aren't graphic and bloody like other sites. Honestly I think it's kinda cute battling the Chia Clown when he hits you with his rainbow and squirting flower. I do hope TNT does something with it because it does need some attention. More items, wearable trophies/medals for defeating battledome challengers that are non-sellable/transferrable, awarding rare weapons/defense/magic as prizes...something! I am not going to vote for giving out existing equipment though because I just hate when TNT devalues existing items by making a r90 basically a r30 overnight! Closing it down would affect far too many different areas of the site. Would never happen in a million years! With the simple neglect we've seen a lot of Neopians that lived to battle leave neo for other sites like vpn. I really wish TNT would do something with it, even if it was to give the arenas a face lift. Just something to get people interested again.

Yeah, new DoN challengers would be good. It's frustrating to have worked my way up all these years, doing a little better each time we had a war, and now that I have a half-decent pet, battles hardly count for anything when they do include them in plots. I guess I'm lucky that I've been around long enough to participate in a few "real" wars, but it still sucks :P

Yeah, I have really been surprised at how long it has taken for them to put out another DoN.

It is unbelievably neglected, hopefully they have something big up their sleeves eventually.
