Could use some advice for Shop/Catalogue
Hey, I was wondering what you thought about my shop and how I can make it better. I don't really use a special layout because I want to keep most attention on the shop content. I also made a shop catalogue. What do you think about it? (www.neopets.com/~drolleke) Useful or useless? And how do you think I can make it better? I would appreciate all tips/advice!

I like it and it is deff NOT useless! Personally it seems more natural to see all items on one page and I'm more likely to look at all items because you don't have to click enough so I think it is a great idea. However it'd be nice if you could include a picture too a lot of people shop with their eyes first and then look at price :)

Thank you! :) I was also thinking of including pictures. Although it would be hard to put pictures in there, because with the 3 columns, there isn't that much room. Maybe it show an image when you hover over a name with your mouse...

Perhaps you can just replace the item's name with the picture. I made a ACIV themed petpet catalogue (www.neopets.com/~duchoh), and I didn't include names. :)

Scratch that! I just realized your a fairie quest shop, right? You need names, and make sure the visitors to the page know the "ctrl+f" trick. :D The only pictures works with categories that aren't faerie quests, like petpets. haha

Yeah, but that would take away the option to look up an item by pushing ctrl+F. And it wouldn't fit in my columns. (If you visit my catalogue you would know what I mean ;) ) *edit* Indeed :D But I'm only partially a quest shop. I kind of sell all books I can get my hands on + water faerie quest items ;)

on the catelog, I would get rid of the amount in stock column. Apart from the fact it must be a huge hassle to keep updated, its also unnecessary. If I go to a petpage to find a quest item I don't care if there is 1 in stock or a million in stock, as long as theres one for me.

Thanks again everyone for the tips :) My petpage will now show the image of an item when you move over the item name with your mouse. What do you think of it now? btw, it isn't a lot of work to keep track of the items sold. I've got an excel sheet which generates the code for me. I only need to push a couple of buttons to start a few macro's and the code will be up to date ;) It takes max 3 minutes of your time (1 to generate/copy the code, and 2 to paste it in your petpage and let neopets screen it.) But I do agree it isn't necessary... Maybe I should change it with item rarity, although I do not know how to get to each item's rarity index quickly :-/

I love the rollover images :D but maybe make them closer to the text?

Ok, I've moved the images a little closer to the names :)
